PAYING FOR COLLEGE

About $112.5 million is awarded to UIW students in financial aid each year. UIW is committed to providing educational opportunities to students from all backgrounds, regardless of financial means.

FRESHMAN SCHOLARSHIPS

All first-time freshman students at UIW are automatically considered for academic scholarships ranging from $7,000-$20,000 per year.

Scholarships are renewable for up to four years, provided the student maintains satisfactory academic progress and full-time status.

TRANSFER SCHOLARSHIPS

Students transferring to UIW are automatically considered for academic scholarships ranging from $10,000-$15,000 per year.

Scholarships are renewable for up to four years of undergraduate coursework, provided the student maintains satisfactory academic progress and full-time status.

The Catholic High School scholarship is an additional scholarship of $2,000 per year that is available for any student graduating from a Catholic high school, provided the student maintains satisfactory academic progress and full-time status.

STUDENT WORK

UIW students may apply online for available student job postings. Working as a student employee is an excellent way to make money and gain valuable work experience while also attending classes. You may also qualify for work study as part of your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

DIRECT ADMITPROGRAMS

UIW offers direct admit options for highly qualified first-time freshmen that lead to advanced degrees in pharmacy, physical therapy, optometry or osteopathic medicine.

Students who meet the qualifications will receive an invitation to the Health Professions Direct Admit program.

Submit your application. (It’s free!) Create a GoUIW account through uiw.edu/apply or apply to UIW using the Common App or ApplyTexas.

Submit your transcripts. Transcripts, including dual credit transcripts, can be emailed in PDF format to admissiondocs@uiwtx.edu or physical copies can be mailed to:
