VANDALS versus COUGARS: "We won!"
Arizona State quarterback J ohn T orok led his fellow Sun Devils to a 14-0 victory over the Vandals in the I daho club's last game of the season. Although the Vandals p layed a really aggressive game, the Arizona team was the speediest team they had encountered all year. The Sun Devil attack contributed to their victory with receivers who could run with the ball as well as anybody after they caught it. During the finale, Ray McDonald and Joe Chapman both broke individua l school records. McDona ld broke \IVi lbur Gray's I 0-year mark in the rushing department with 44 yards and a season tota l of 583 in six and one-half games. Chapman caught three passes for 78 yards in the scorebooks and broke Reg Carolan's three-year-old mark of 498 yards with a seasonal total of 512 yards.
