SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA The University of Idaho synchromatic symphony orchestra presented its annual concert in the auditori\.:m January 16. Included on the program was a l::rilliant "concerto" by Saint Saens. Professor H. M. Macklin played the arrangement with the group. The orchestra which is directed by Professor Carl Claus, has increased its membership to fifty-five. Karl Wilson, who has been concert master for three years, again headed the violins. The brass and woodwind sections are directed by the assistant professor, Robert Lyon. The members of the Music Faculty participate in the concert, besides sponsoring recitals which feature the most talented young student artists. Miss Miriam Little is in charge of the cello and bass rehearsals.
