The soft beauty of the lighting did enhance my delight. l did shl'iek aloud with the concubines when the S~tltan, Amn-el-Kw·- . _ a _ schid, dctgge1·ed the Queen with his long knife . ~ Methinks t he Pep Band did neve1· 1·ender such spirited music!.: than on this occasion. Nove mber 29th I did scarcely slee]J a wink last night, in anticipation of the delights of this day. Arising early, l did BJ>end the mo,·niug with 1>ainstaking 1>reparations, and at twelve o'clock did fare fol·th, .. with my cOm]Janions and my accesso1·ies, to regi11ter at the J(appa Sigma Hotel. ~~ I did find this a most spacious and comfo1·table abode, and the bill of fare excellent. Dancing and varied entertainments did while away the afteniOon hom·s. I mal'llelled aloud at the portrayal of Little Red Riding Hood's gmndmothc1· by A. ,11.
