Find professionals in a job that you're interested in.

Utilize LinkedIn to find people, send a connect request, and attach a message asking some insightful questions.

Send a message to someone who works in the role you hope to be in one day. You can even find someone who works at a company you are particularly excited about.

Step 1: Type in a job or field that interests you in the search bar

From there click the 'People' button on the top left to see professionals in the field.

Step 2: Click on anyone's profile and checkout what position they're in and with what company It's also advantageous to see what their degree is in and what jobs they have previously worked

Explore their profile and if you're feeling excited about this persons journey/the job they hold, send them a message!

Connecting with University of Idaho alumni...

Find UI Alums who are in roles that you're interested in. The Vandal family runs strong! Vandals want to help other Vandals!

Step 1: Go to the University of Idaho page on LinkedIn

Click on University of Idaho to get to the home page

Step 2: Click into the 'Alumni' tab

Step 3: Filter by what they do, what they studied, and maybe even where they are located.

You can click the add button to add in filters, and hit next to explore the dierent attributes you can filter for. You can even search specifically in the search tab at the top.

Step 4: Once you have added in your filters, scroll down and you will see a bunch of alumni who match your search From there, follow steps 2 and 3 for the above exercise of 'Connecting with Professionals' and send a message to a Vandal Alum!
