DOCTOR OF CHINESE BUSINESS & ENTREPRENEURSHIP CANDIDATE PROFILE The program is open to all professionals working in organizations with a strong focus on developing economic relationships in and with China. Candidates are typically looking for advanced personal development with a specific interest in conducting business in the Chinese market and better understanding the specific requirements of this region.
Professor Dr. Van Ostende is recognized as a regional expert for China investment and trade, with many publications to his credit. Credentials awarded include the International Friendship Ambassador for Nanjing Municipality and Ambassador for Investment Promotion for Yangzhou Municipality. Professor Van Ostende is a recipient of China’s Jiangsu Province Youth Friendship Award. His areas of interest revolve around international business developments in the greater China region, with a focus on the fields of Foreign Direct Investment, Foreign Market Entry and Strategic Decision Making. PROGRAM
STRUCTURE Participants will undertake a critical reflection upon their professional China practice and design a doctoral level practice–based research project. The program is primarily concerned with the knowledge that is generated and used in the participant’s professional practice. The design of the program includes research modules and the completion of a professional manuscript.
