AT DELAWARE: Fourth-year member of the squad. 2013 SEASON: Competed in all eight events for the Blue Hens • competed as a member of the Varsity Eights in five out of eight events • earned second place finish with the Varsity Fours at the Saint Joseph’s Quad Meet. 2012 SEASON: Appeared in four meets for the Blue Hens •  competed with the Varsity Fours boat at the Murphy Cup, Occoquan Sprints and Knecht Cup •  member of the Second Varsity Eights at the Saint Joseph’s Quad Meet. 2011 SEASON: Competed in five events as a member of the Novice Eights crew • placed first at the ECAC Championships • finished fourth in the semifinals with the Novice Eights at Dad Vail • crew was named National 5 & 10 Best of the Blue Hens Athlete of the

Week on May 2.

HIGH SCHOOL: Member of the water polo team during her freshman year at Gig Harbor High School • named Student of the Quarter for the fall of 2007 • awarded the Excellence in Academics for history and science and the Academic Excellence award in the spring of 2008 • earned high honors all three terms her junior year, as well as all three terms her senior year • member of Phi Theta Kappa. PERSONAL: Bethany Suzanne Porter • born January 13, 1991 • daughter of Steven and Peggy Porter • honor student majoring in biomedical engineering at Delaware • hobbies include scuba diving and ringing handbells • father participated on the men’s crew team during his career at Washington State University in 1973-77 • middle of three children.

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year letterwinner in rowing at Archbishop Prendergast High School • selected team captain as a senior • won the silver medal at the Head of the Ohio in 2007 and 2009 • also won silver medal at the King’s Head Regatta in 2007 • won the gold medal at the Head of the Christina in 2008 • won the gold medal at the Upper Merion Regatta in 2009 and 2010 • also competed on the swimming team for two seasons • member of the National Honor Society. PERSONAL: Angela Kathleen Quinn • born December 26, 1991 • daughter of John and Terry Quinn • sport management major at Delaware • cousin played football at Dickinson College • enjoys swimming in her spare time • avid Philadelphia Phillies fan • has two older brothers.
