We are delighted to inform you that our team was awarded the FIRST PLACE at the Mind2Market Competition held by the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad. Mind2Market was an open innovation platform open to students, professionals, innovators And entrepreneurs. The live case given was on Stoves (Chullahs) being used in the Rural India and we were to device A complete EXECUTABLE Plan around it . In the Round Zero of the competition we were to submit a ONE SLIDE Presentation. With the use of a MIND MAP we presented the solutions in a very crisp manner.
A 15 minute presentation was made in front of an esteemed panel consisting of o Mr. Krishna Tanku , Executive Director, Wadhwani Centre for Entrepreneurship Development. (WCED) o Mr. Venkatram Vasantavada, Assistant Professor at ISB and a Chartered Accountant o Mr. Anand Nandkumar, from PHI Seeds o Mr. Karuppan Chetty, Deputy CEO, Agri-Business Incubator at ICRISAT o Mr. Santosh Srinivas, Assistant Director, WCED.
From over 100 entries received, 12 teams were shortlisted for Round 1. The teams were from ISB, IIM Bangalore, Calcutta, Shillong, Indore, SP Jain, MICA, IIT Delhi, NMIMS and others.
The 15 minute presentation was followed by a 10 minute intense and grilling Q&A. The best moment was when Mr. Krishna Tanku asked us that if he finances our project would we be willing to execute it from tomorrow. The answer was an un-equivocal YES !!!
Then a 16 slide presentation was submitted covering the several aspects in detail. On the basis of this 3 teams were shortlisted for the Round 1. The judges appreciated our ideas and plans which were more practical than theoretical. We had made good use of colours , text And photographs. We believe that the tools and techniques taught to us by the BUSINESS DESIGN course has been the ONLY reason for our success.
