Chelsea Gamble begins her first season at the University of Connecticut in 2012. She brings a wealth of experience to the team, having played Division I lacrosse at George Mason University until her graduation in 2011. Gamble captained the squad for three seasons and was named the 2011 Division I College Player of the Year for South Jersey. Other honors include being named a 2011 IWLCA/Under Armour North/South Senior All Star as well as being part of the 2008 CAA Championship All-Tournament Team. Off the field, Gamble worked as an early elementary assistant teacher for a year and as the head coach of South Jersey Select Lacrosse for the past three years. She has also served as the Recruiter Coordinator for the Tri-State Summer Lacrosse Festival since 2008 and as a counselor at various camps run by Stanford, Nike Top of the Class, Moorestown Select and other women’s lacrosse programs.

Harrington will begin her first season with Connecticut in 2012. A 2007 graduate of the College of William and Mary, she most recently served as an assistant coach at Dickinson College where she was responsible for assisting with all aspects of the program, including recruiting and scouting, managing practices and implementing game day tactics. Harrington also specialized as the Defensive Coordinator for Dickinson, implementing all defensive sets and developing both individual and team defensive skills among the players. In addition, she directed the team’s youth clinics and organized community outreach programs between the team and the local YWCA. Prior to her time at Dickinson, Harrington spent two years in England where she served as the Head of Lacrosse at St. Albans High School for Girls and as a School Coaching Official at St. Helen’s School. Harrington also played lacrosse while in Europe, competing in several tournaments including the Blues Lacrosse Tournament, the largest club level lacrosse tournament in the United Kingdom. She also participated in the Berlin Open Lacrosse Tournament as well as the Amsterdam Lowlands Lacrosse Tournament. As a collegiate athlete, Harrington helped lead the William and Mary Tribe to the CAA tournament twice. She was also given the team’s Academic Achievement Award and the 2007 “Work Horse” Award, voted on by all teammates to recognize the individual who, leading by example, pushes herself and thus her team to higher achievements.
