WHAT’S NEW Half Dome, the newest residence hall, reflects not only the open sky and buildings around it, but the commitment to sustainability on the UC Merced campus. Much of the building uses recycled materials, from its carpets to its ceiling tiles, and campus construction practices enabled the diversion of tons of waste from landfills by recycling or reusing everything possible.
