Regional Training Conference

On October 12th, UC hippos met up with hippos from all over the division to take home the spirit stick and trophy at RTC 2013! At this event, members attended workshops such as Key Club 101, time management, applying to college, and other helpful topics. Not

only did members get useful information, they also got the chance to meet cheetahs, jellyfish, dolphins, red bulls, and robots with hearts! Each division showed off their spirit, and had a bunch of spirit battles. UC in particular showed a lot of spirit, RTC was filled with waves of turquoise and super heroes (this year’s theme). Friends were made, spirit sticks were won, voices were lost; this all-day event was truly a great way to start the school year with Key Club. If you didn’t get to attend RTC this year, don’t worry there’s always RTC 2014!

KICK FORCE GRAND OPENING Free tae kwon doe classes, tricking classes, food, and fun? That’s what Centurions got to experience when they volunteered at the grand opening for the tae kwon doe studio/ gymnasium. Key Clubbers helped children break blocks of wood, and even got to try it out for themselves! This was one of the most hands-on events of the year so far, and it was great. In fact, there were several Kiwanis members there too! Overall, this was a great hands-on way to get involved with the community.

Upcoming Events Curie Craft Fair, Nov 2nd • Fall Rally, Nov 9th • Storm Drain Stenciling, Nov 16th • Key to College, Nov 23rd 2
