UCF GOLF PRACTICE FACILITY AND COURSES Members of the UCF men’s and women’s golf teams have the opportunity to enhance their games close to campus at the UCF Prac ce Facility. Located at the Twin Rivers Golf Club in nearby Oviedo, the facility was completed in 2009.

Construc on on the 2,880-square foot teaching building at the loca on concluded in 2009. The building features hi ng bays and a state-of-theart video system to analyze each player’s swing. Also, the structure houses a player’s lounge, locker room and offices for the UCF coaching staff. The facility is used exclusively by the UCF men’s and women’s golf programs. The prac ce facility includes a six-acre shortgame area, in addi on to a driving range. The short-game area has a pair of pu ng greens and target greens. The area was designed and constructed by McCumber Golf, which was founded by former PGA TOUR player Mark McCumber. Construc on began in March 2007. Twin Rivers is managed by The Golf Group, an Orlando-based company that operates six courses in the area.

The UCF women’s golf team u lizes several of the impressive courses in the Orlando area for prac ce and playing. Head coach Courtney Trimble’s Knights have access to some of the top country clubs in the golf-crazy region. It is one of the biggest advantages of playing for the Knights. The Lake Nona Golf and Country Club and the Isleworth Golf Club are amongst these elite courses. Minutes from UCF’s brand new medical school, the Lake Nona community is home to Ernie Els, Annika Sorenstam, Ben Cur s, Sergio Garcia, Re ef Goosen and many other prominent players. Lake Nona’s annual cross-town challenge for the Tavistock Cup against Isleworth is broadcast na onally. Isleworth residents include Tiger Woods, Mark O’Meara, Stuart Appleby and Paula Creamer. The Knights and many of the na on’s premier women’s golf teams love playing in the UCF Challenge at the RedTail Golf Club. In addi on to the UCF Challenge, the Sorrento course has also served as home to the 2009 and 2010 men’s Conference USA Championship and also hosted men’s NCAA Regional play in 2009. The Rio Pinar Country Club is another course for the Knights. The course previously served as the host site for the PGA TOUR’s Citrus Open. The country club is the home of the Rio Pinar Invita onal. The North Shore Golf Club is one of the upscale, semi-private courses that UCF has unlimited access to for prac cing and playing. The front nine is a modern layout and the back nine features more of a classic style. Located just minutes away from campus, the Twin Rivers Golf Club is the home of the UCF Prac ce Facility, which was completed in 2009. The Knights have ample opportunity to play on the picturesque course. Not far south of campus is Stoneybrook East, a course which will test golfers with an abundance of water hazards.

Mary Bryan Assistant Coach - Second Season at UCF

It’s hard to imagine that the Knights, or any school, could ever have a more perfectly qualified assistant coach than Mary Bryan.

Bryan played full- me on the LPGA Tour for 13 seasons from 1971-84 and has also played in LPGA Senior Tour events.
