Brandon Alexander • Started all 12 games at free safety in the 2013 season after appearing in 24 games and making 17 starts at cornerback over the previous two seasons. • Selected as a nominee for the Burlsworth Trophy, which is given to the most outstanding collegiate football player who began his career as a walkon. • Collected seven tackles, two breakups and an interception against Houston on Nov. 9, with one of his breakups coming in the endzone on fourth down with less than 30 seconds remaining to secure the win. • His performance against Houston earned him the American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week award.
