HOW ‘BOUT THAT • Caleb Houston (How-s n) has shined in his first year as UCF’s punter, averaging 42.4 yards per punt. • Due to UCF’s offense having one of its most produc ve seasons in history, he has only booted 37 punts, but has placed 11 of them inside the 20 with eight going for at least 50 yards. • His 45-yard boot in the first quarter Temple rested on the 1-yard line, and two plays later the defense made it pay off by notching a safety. • With family watching in-person at Memphis, the Tennessee na ve booted six punts for 313 yards and a 52.2 average, including a long of 71. His 52.2 average was the fourth-highest in a single game at UCF, while his 71-yard effort ed for the third-longest punt in school history. The last 70-yard punt by a Knight came in 2009 by Blake Clingan (70 yards). • Houston’s performance helped limit Memphis to a star ng field posi on of its own 23 for the game.
