More often than not, those who transfer to complete a bachelor’s degree out-perform their counterparts at the upperlevel institution to which they transfer. For students electing a career pathway for immediate employment, TJC offers a wide variety of cutting-edge programs within The School of Allied Health and Nursing and The School of Applied Studies. Graduates of these programs become industry professionals with promising futures.

THE TJC APPROACH School of University Studies Students planning to continue their education toward a baccalaureate or advanced degree may complete core courses designed to provide a background in the arts and sciences.

School of Applied Studies Designed to prepare students for technical and professional career fields upon completion of an Associate in Applied Science Degree. Some majors also offer Certificates of Proficiency options – study plans that last approximately one year.

CAMPUS TOURS Taking a guided campus tour is the best way to get acquainted with Tyler Junior College. Guided campus tours are conducted during the week, throughout the year. Individual tours are offered by request by contacting the Admissions office. Group tours are scheduled at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. Group tours begin with a video presentation in the White Administrative Services Center. Tours last approximately 45 minutes.
