Meetings are held the fourth Monday of each month at the Little Temecula History Center ( Red Barn) next to Kohls near the corner of Temecula and Redhawk Parkways.. A presentation about a topic related to local history begins at 6pm; business meeting follows at 7pm; everyone welcome. Temecula Valley Woman’s Club Jean Lash 951-302-1375 www.tvwc.com Jean Lash, incoming president of the Temecula Valley Woman’s Club 2013, will lead 140 local members through another action packed year of volunteerism at its best. TVWC recently awarded the honor of best non-profit organization in Inland Empire and honored by the City of Temecula for outstanding contributions, both financial and volunteer hours, support many organizations throughout Temecula and Murrieta, including college scholarships for all the public high schools. All funds for their charities are derived from their Annual Holiday Home Tour, going on its 29th year in 2013. Keeping the tourism industry vital, the TVCVB strategically markets to specific tourism segments in an effort to increase awareness of Temecula, create a desire to visit and generate midweek room nights and visitor spending. The TVCVB’s core strategy and marketing objectives include building destination awareness by clearly differentiating the Temecula Valley experience as well as a comprehensive measurement system to ensure all marketing efforts are maximized. United Way of the Inland Valleys Kari Hollis 951-697-4700 www.uwv.org United Way of the Inland Valleys was formed in 1931 by community leaders for the purpose of making our region a better place to live and to do business. The mechanism for doing this was to raise funds to support health and human services provided by United Way affiliated agencies through a single fund-raising campaign. Veteran Supplemental Support Network Daisy B. Tate 951-821-8776 www.vetsupportnet.org Veterans Supplemental Support Network (VSSN) is an alliance of concerned community members (veterans, individuals, nonprofits, and businesses) who leverage resources and volunteerism efforts to develop supplemental support for Veterans, Military uniform service members and their families and those organizations that support them. VSSN typically gives directly to non-profit organizations that support the military and/or veteran communities. VSSN rarely gives resources directly to military service members and/or veterans however allowances are sometimes made based on the urgency of the request or the type of resources such as referrals.
