Impressive business card In this special double-sized Pattaya Gold we look at all the Tulip Group properties and ventures currently in the public domain. And quite a list it is too! From the latest venture – Royal Tulip on Phratamnak – to its first, the Centara Grand Phratamnak Resort Pattaya just a few steps distant, it’s a story of quality all the way. After reading the above I guess many folk might be tempted to say: “Surely CARS (Centara Avenue Residence & Suites) was the first Tulip project.” Indeed, for a long time I thought it was, too. But, before CARS was launched the group was making quiet progress on the hotel which is now open on Phratamak. They didn’t make a big song and dance about the hotel back then although, with considerable justification, they do now. The group’s vice-president, Jason Payne, describes this first hotel as their “business card” urging those thinking about investing in a Tulip property to visit the hotel to get an idea of the standards of quality they can expect. I’ve been fortunate enough to visit on several occasions and the hotel does live up to the tagline you can see on the facing page: “We don’t just build a property, we build a lifestyle.” For me that sums up my dealings with Tulip Group. They build the type of properties that the group’s executives would be content to live or stay in themselves. Right down to things like the coffee in the rooms everything has to be up to standard. As Bart Walters wrote recently in REm the word “luxury” gets used in just about every piece of marketing to the point where it loses its value. Tulip Group restores it.

Centara Grand Residence and

Tulip Group’s luxury three tower condominium and hotel in NaJomtien is probably the company’s biggest and most luxurious project to date. Nestled directly on the beach on a huge 18 Rai land parcel, every room commands a stunning direct sea view. CARS has teamed up with the

Centara Avenue Residence & Suites (CARS) was Tulip Group’s first project to hit the market, and has proved to be a huge success, selling almost 40 per cent in its first six weeks. Tulip Group put this success down to its innovative design, its location, being Pattaya’s first branded residence and some excellent sales from Alan Bolton Property Consultants the original sole agent. Set on the rooftop of Tulip Group’s 5-Star hotel, Centara Grand Phratamnak Pattaya, Ruffino Restaurant & Lounge has superb views of the bay and serves Italian coastal cuisine along with the wines of Italian wine house Ruffino. The newly opened restaurant is the first venture in which Ruffino and a hotel operator have combined to use the Ruffino brand for a restaurant outlet. In 1877, Illario and Leopoldo Ruffino laid the foundations of their dream to make the most known and loved Italian wines in the world from the heart of Tuscany. At their winery in Pontassieve, just outside Florence, they began producing

Tulip Group opened their first hotel last October, and since then has gained a reputation for the being one of the places to be seen in Pattaya.
