Bearden HS A four-time letter winner for Leonard Sams and Angelica Wade at Bearden High School… Named All-District in her final two seasons…Selected by her team as the Most Improved Freshman in 2009…She batted .481 during her junior season with two doubles and two inside-the-park home runs…Had a .500 on base percentage in the lead-off spot, scoring 23 runs with three RBI…Earned a letter in Track in 2010 as she qualified for SubState as a sprinter…She was a leader in FCA and a member of the Bearden Singers, as well as a part of the Musical Theater… Played her travel ball for the Tennessee Eagles, coached by Cortney Mitchell and Valanna Lyons
In 2013, Freshman Year Freeman started and played in 48 of the Tigers 49 games… finished second on the team with a .361 average (53-for-147), which is the seventh highest in school history… ranks fourth at TSU with 53 hits in a single season… a member of the Ohio Valley Conference AllNewcomer team… second on the team with 22 runs and 14 stolen bases… the swipes were the ninth best in TSU history… named Tennessee Sports Writers Association Player of the Week (3/12) when she batted .421 in six games with three multi-hit outings, five runs scored and an inside-the-park home run… recorded her first hit in the first game of the season versus South Alabama (2/8)… finished the season with 12 multi-hit games, including four three-hit performances… put together a nine-game hitting streak, tied for the team best, from 2/24-3/8… reached base in a team high 14 consecutive games from 2/24-3/12
