HANNAH EVANS

From sketching to crocheting, I have always had a strong creative drive and my passion led me to study Product and Furniture Design at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David Swansea. I like to utilise my creative design skills and knowledge to create innovative and stylish pieces. Although I seek to create functional furniture, my passion is to make every piece a work of art. My organisation skills and strong attention to detail help me to succeed in my designs. In addition to designing, I love to travel, experience different cultures and food, and most importantly spend time with my family and friends.

Family is everything and my Welsh heritage is firmly embedded in me. With inspiration from family heirloom pieces and the Welsh blankets that remind me of my childhood, The Brethyn Collection was born.

The Welsh have a rich tradition of furniture-making, and this is reflected in the design of three pieces. Each piece is designed with care and attention to detail, using the finest materials of years gone by. The furniture is not only functional; allowing it to be dismantled but serves as a work of art in its own right. The designs are timeless and elegant and are sure to be cherished for generations to come.

JOSH WARD

I have always been drawn to the art of creating things with my hands and love incorporating traditional hand-making skills into my work. Along with my passion for hands-on craftsmanship, I also have a keen interest in rendering, which allows me to bring my designs to life in a digital environment. Throughout my career as a product designer, I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects and have gained valuable experience in the field. I am dedicated to delivering innovative and practical solutions to design challenges and am constantly striving to improve my skills.

My project – “SmartIsland”, is a multi-functional countertop island featuring a touch-screen display covering the entire worktop.

You can control the hobs with a simple swipe or tap on the screen and use it as an entertainment hub to watch cooking tutorials or catch up on your favourite TV show while you cook. And after you’re done cooking, you can also eat dinner on the same surface.

It’s perfect for cooking enthusiasts who value efficiency, convenience, and versatility in the kitchen.

ABOUT ME MY WORK

MARIA ARIAS DE DIEGO

When designing, I often prioritise physical appearance and aesthetics. I find that starting with a blank canvas allows my creativity and ideas to flow onto the paper as the possibilities are endless. My designs are typically a result of sudden inspirations and have a clean, minimalistic, and modern feel. However, I am constantly inspired by the work of other designers, styles and eras, and I love experimenting with different colours, textures, or materials to add depth and interest to my designs.

My goal as a designer is to create something unique and memorable.

Inspired by Dadaism, this unique chair is an excellent choice for anyone who wants a stylish and modern seating option and will impress anyone who sees it.

One of the key features of this chair is its upholstered seat and tube, which provides support while also enhancing its visual appeal.

In terms of aesthetics, it can be customised to suit your décor and personal style. You can choose from modern and traditional styles and even mix and match different colours, whether you are looking for a bold statement piece or a subtle addition to your home.

MOLLY MERSON

As a product designer, a passion for developing innovative and usercentric projects is vital to create successful products. I also strongly believe empathising with the end user creates products that not only look great but also solve real-world problems. In addition to design work, I’m also a lifelong learner and enjoy observing my surroundings, allowing me to engage with the creative thought process to find which product needs to be developed or whether products currently on the market need to be redesigned with sustainability in mind. I love expanding my knowledge on varying product sectors, from beds to adult products.

Designed to be adaptive and immersive for intimate activities, NEBRA provides women with extra stimulation during intercourse whilst feeling more empowered when wearing lingerie and shibari. Lingerie used with NEBRA tackles body-conscious thoughts during intercourse, a common occurrence due to main-stream media promoting unrealistic body standards.

NEBRA’S colour palette is royal blue with gold accents. The form of NEBRA is designed for women resulting in a contoured product for comfort and pleasure.

NICOLE JEREMIAH

Hi there! My name is Nicole, and I`m a designer from South Wales. I have a true passion for good design. To me, good design is about simplicity masking complexity. I love when a product can be used on intuition alone. While I specialize in product design, I have also dipped into furniture design. I love unleashing my inner childlike creativity and exploring new styles and ways of thinking. When I`m not designing, I enjoy cooking, sewing, and getting crafty in general. I always try to stay creative, whether it`s in my design work, kitchen, or other areas of my life.

SIVAN SCHECHNER

As a designer, I incorporate the latest technology and manufacturing techniques into my designs, giving them a modern aesthetic and a timestamp, associating their features with the date of manufacture.

I give my creations a unique element by innovating both user interactions and the technology for their operation. My process combines reverse engineering, evaluating, re-engineering, and designing, frequently creating first-generation products and solutions.

Ydros, named after the Ancient Greek god of freshwater, which translates to Hydros in English, was the name given for my final major project. As the name suggests, this is a purely water-cooled processor case.

It was created by evaluating computer case designs’ current state and developing techniques that allow for a more user-friendly format. A sliding window and removable ‘build plate’ makes fewer obstacles when building the desktop.

I also created a cooling system that uses hybrid vapor-chamber radiators to keep computer parts at near-ambient temperatures at a fraction of the energy cost other high-end computer cooling systems use.

My passion for design is centred around developing designs that enable individuals with disabilities the chance to unlock their potential, regardless of their abilities. Focusing my designs towards creating accessible, intuitive, and user-friendly products.

With an emphasis on empowering individuals no matter what their needs are. I believe design can have a meaningful impact and has the power to transform lives.

AuRa Play is driven by Augmented Reality; its purpose is to engage children with Additional Learning Needs by producing an immersive educational environment. The device supplies sensory outputs that will stimulate the child’s senses. This supports children with various needs within an educational setting, allowing them to build upon their social, communication and emotional regulation skills, which these children take longer to develop.

My research shows how children with these needs are absent from school due to unsatisfactory resources or simply because their needs are not being met, the AuRa Device aims to tackle this issue and provide an aid that current educational resources overlook.
