“The Age of Discovery”é o tema do novo menu de cocktails do Gusto Bar, com inspiração em “Os Lusíadas”. O menu tem como conceito a obra poética do escritor Luís Vaz de Camões, considerada a epopeia portuguesa por excelência. Concluída em 1556, só foi publicada pela primeira vez em 1572, três anos após o regresso do autor, do Oriente. A ação central reflete a descoberta do caminho marítimo para a Índia por Vasco da Gama, à volta da qual se vão descrevendo outros episódios da história de Portugal, glorificando o povo português. A obra é composta de dez cantos, assim como o novo menu, que apresenta dez cocktails de assinatura, criações do Gusto Head Bartender Nelson Matos. The new Gusto Bar cocktail menu “The Age of Discovery” has been inspired by the poetic work “Os Lusíadas”, by the writer Luís Vaz de Camões, considered to be an icon in Portuguese literature. Completed in 1556, the works were first published in 1572, three years after the author’s return from the Orient. The main theme is the discovery of the sea route to India by Vasco da Gama, around which other episodes of Portugal’s history, and the successes of the people of Portugal are highlighted. This masterpiece is made up of ten chapters and our fresh new menu has 10 signature cocktails created by the Gusto Head Bartender, Nelson Matos, promising an adventure of flavours.
