Satyagraha ĂŠ una parola in sanscrito
inventata da Ghandi nel 1906
che divenne il nome ufficiale
del movimento e della filosofia
di lotta nonviolenta.
“Satya” significa verità
e “agraha�significa fermezza, forza.
Satyagraha significa lotta non violenta.
Ovvero, la forza che nasce
dalla verità e dall’amore.
Nel pensiero satyagraha
l'unico modo per raggiungere
una meta giusta è quello di
usare metodi pacifici e nonviolenti,
con amore verso il "nemico".
Quindi l'obiettivo del satyagraha
non è la distruzione dell'avversario,
ma la sua pacifica conversione.
Se praticato giorno dopo giorno
il satyagraha permette di
costruire la vera pace.
Il satyagrahi è colui che pratica
il satyagraha nella vita quotidiana.

Un satyagrahi non nascondi mai
le sue strategie, anzi:
le comunica sempre all'avversario.
Un satyagrahi non teme la morte
poiché non si può uccidere
ciò che non può morire: la verità.
Quindi, per essere un satyagrahi
bisogna aver corraggio
e tanta umiltĂ allo stesso tempo.
