First Meeting of Eurovelo 8 Partners A Cyprus Tourism Organisation delegation participated at the first meeting of the partners of the European project Eurovelo 8 - The Mediterranean Route, which took place in Nice, France in May, after the initiative was approved for financing by the European Commission following an invitation for proposals for cross-border thematic tourism products.

The European Cycling Federation provides technocratic support to the project which aims to enhance transnational cooperation on cycling tourism with emphasis on organising and promoting biking activities among contracting partners in seven different countries. The project activities will focus on packetisation of existing products and related services in collaboration with tour operators and accommodation properties thus facilitating possible cooperation of the private and public sector.
