This lineup includes 45+ yearling and age advantage bulls that are deep in quality and backed by proven genetics; registered Purebred Simmental, Percentage SimAngus, and a select group of Purebred Angus. The beef business is saturated with awesome people who represent all walks of life from every region of this great nation! The Moore family of East Central Indiana would certainly be one of the many outstanding families that comprise that majority. An operation that was initiated with the acquisition of a few head as a catalyst for a youth project, has definitely become one of the rising stars in the seedstock providing sector of the business. As rapid growth took over the family-owned acres in the upper Midwest, the decision had to be made either to limit the numbers or continue to grow but do so in a region that would be conducive for bull trade. After an in-depth and lengthy search, the family purchased a ranch that sits just to the north of a small community that lies between Tulsa and Stillwater, OK known as Yale. This investment placed the family ranching enterprise in the heart of the beef business, among some of the absolute elite in ranching and seedstock enterprises.

The Buck Creek Ranch team has rapidly become a significant force in the SimGenetic business. They continue to be very progressive in their plan for genetic advancement and improving phenotype on levels achieved by few in the industry. Investments and acquisitions in the right foundation herd sires and donor dams have been made annually with an aggressive approach in doing so. Jacob’s passion and dedication to be the best and do so in numbers ultimately drives the quest for excellence.

This task cannot be done alone. The Moore family has implemented some of the business’ most youthful talent in management, organization, presentation, and beef cattle knowledge to take care of the family’s interests in Oklahoma. We promise this is not a general, run-of-the-mill organization, these gentlemen know how to do about anything and everything tied to ranching with an exclamation point placed on mating seedstock to benefit the entire customer base.

The pastures owned and leased by the outfit are saturated with matrons that are very productive but exquisite in quality. The cow herd has been and will continue to be sorted on the basic cowboy principles in the elimination of the phenotype-driven issues that hinder positive margins. Hoof quality is an absolute necessity as most all problems with longevity in stock retention begin at the surface and that’s why the bulls that have left the ranch over the past few years have withstood the challenges of South Texas and what the Fescue Belt throws their direction. Fertility is on the list as well, no second chances or tolerance of a female that doesn’t breed back in the time allotted for her to do so. Udder quality is not sacrificed as it is not only essential for time and labor management, but it also hinders calf health and payweight. If they have surpassed the previous three screenings, skeletal integrity, and quality in look and balance will determine the future outcome for a female within the barbed wire of the BCR prefix. These consistent practices would be a huge part of why the stock makes huge strides every year and the offering becomes deeper in quality and larger in number.

Unless otherwise noted, all the breeding age bulls will have passed a breeding soundness exam prior to pick up/delivery. In addition to the standard Terms and Conditions of the American Simmental Association, we will provide the first breeding season (the 90-day period immediately following turn out) guarantee on all yearling and older bulls. This guarantee is not an insurance or mortality policy, but a guarantee on functional fertility. It is not a substitute or replacement for poor management. Buyer assumes all risks for injury due to running bulls together or management decisions outside genetic control. For the guarantee to apply, we ask that you contact us as soon as a condition is observed and before the animal is sold. We will work with you to determine whether the animal is returned or sold for slaughter. We will attempt to provide a suitable replacement. If one cannot be provided of equal or greater value, we will issue a sale credit to be used in a future sale for the full purchase price less the salvage value of the animal.
