Network Rail Approved, Lightweight Foam Track Access System, for on/off tracking of RRV’s. TPA is firmly established in the rail sector as “the” principle provider of safe, effective, value for money temporary roadways, walkways & access systems. The lightweight foam rail track access system is a further new addition to TPA’s range of portable access equipment. With its customary rapid installation time, this new RRV rail track access system shall provide a superb all round solution to the on and off tracking of road rail vehicles.

The Benefits The crossing or access point is made from two metre long foam sections, each of which weighs under 25kg so they can be easily hand-carried into position. Only simple site preperation is required and the system provides the following benefits; 1. Lightweight each section weighs under 25kg. 2. Available in two metre kits. 3. Approved for use up to 15 tons per axle. 4. Network Rail Approval Number PA05/03446. 5. Simple site preparation. 6. Easily transported to and from the access point. The Process The lightweight foam system allows operators on site to construct a road rail access point (RRAP) easily.

System Parts Each two-metre ramp kit consists of 2 outer ramp sections and 1 inner deck section with 2 centre end ramps.

Installation Time Full ramp kit, inclusive of five full track access point (bridge) sections can be fully installed and ready for use in less than 20 minutes. • Easily transported to and from the access point. Note The Lightweight Foam RRAP is not approved to be used on the Bull Head Track style of rail line, due to the clearance and “chairs” in which the rail sits.

The ramps are suited for use on flat bottom plain line with a sleeper spacing of 650mm (28 per 60ft rail). The recesses for the clips will allow for some variation in the sleeper spacing.

Quick Handling Each section has a hand hold for ease of handling. While each section is under 25kgs, it is easier and safer for two men to lift each section, due to the size.
