Rapid Rail Access
Dig to Deck The UTAS Ramp Track Access System, ideal for renewals sites. The Dig to Deck Ramp is Network Rail Approved (PA05/03902) and suitable for use on Rail Track systems. The Ramp is used for entering or exiting the dig and can be deployed swiftly and easily in minutes with suitable lifting equipment. Before installing the Ramp the access area needs to be prepared and it is recomemended that 2 sleepers are removed and that the ballast is levelled in the bottom of the dig. The Ramp must be aligned parallel to the track and must be seated properly on the end of the rails ensuring at least 200mm of overlap. The Ramp can be used in conjunction with the UTAS RRAP’s enabling upto 50 tonne tracked or wheeled vehicles to easily gain rapid access on to the Rail then into the dig whilst providing rail head protection.
