What’s the Plan for Lathlain Park? The Lathlain Park Precinct Masterplan was open for public comment for the period of 22 December 2010 to 3 February 2011. We would like to thank the many residents and stakeholders who took the time to submit feedback relating to the Masterplan. Comments and suggestions received were overwhelmingly positive and will be collated and presented to Council for consideration. The formal adoption of recommendations by Council will kick-start a more detailed planning process and the development of a Lathlain Park Works Program linked to the Town’s Plan for the Future.
Major Stadium Development in Victoria Park At the February Council Meeting, the Council resolved to support the concept of a major stadium within the Town. Although Council does support the concept, it also wishes to further investigate the possible implications of locating a major sporting venue within the Burswood Peninsula precinct and be allowed the opportunity to comment prior to the establishment of such a major attraction to the area. Next steps would include consultation with other major private and government stakeholders and public comment would be sought in order to progress.
