Neben der GPS-Basisfunktionalität (Positionsbestimmung, Trackaufzeichnung, WegpunktNavigation) versendet der PIEPS Global Finder regelmäßig seine aktuelle Position über das kostenfreie 800-MHz-ISM-Band. Dieses Signal kann von anderen PIEPS Global Finder Geräten nicht nur empfangen, sondern direkt in die eigene GPS Navigation übernommen werden. Durch eine spezielle Notruf-Funktion wird dieses Signal mit einer vielfach höheren Leistung abgestrahlt und kann über weite Strecken empfangen werden. Zusätzlich ist im PIEPS Global Finder Sky ein SatellitenModem integriert, mit welchem ein gesichertes (!) Absetzen eines Notrufs über ein Low-Orbit Satelliten System ermöglicht wird – und das von jedem Punkt der Erde aus!
Besides basic GPS functionality (positioning, tracking, waypoint navigation) the PIEPS Global Finder broadcasts its own actual position over the cost-free 800 MHzISM radio band. This broadcasted information can be received by other PIEPS Global Finder devices and can be used directly in waypoint navigation. With the special „ERMERCENCY“-function, this signal will be sent by multiplied power and can be received over large distances. Additionally the PIEPS Global Finder Sky has an integrated satellite modem, which will grant a secured two-way transmission of the emergency call via a low orbit satellite network – from everywhere on earth!
À côté de la fonction basique GPS (localisation de la position, enregistrement du chemin, navigation des points de chemin) le PIEPS Global Finder envoie régulièrement et gratuitement sa position par le 800-MHzISM. Ce signal n´est pas que reçu des autres PIEPS Global Finder, mais est assumé directement à sa propre navigation. Une fonction de secours spéciale transmit le signal et de ce fait on peut le recevoir à travers des longues distances. En plus un modem satellites est intégré au PIEPS Global Finder avec que on peut transmettre un appel d´urgence par un système de satellites Low-Orbit – tout cela de tous les points de la terre!
Accanto la funzionalità basale GPS (definizione posizionale, registrazione dei track, navigazione dei punti itinerari) PIEPS Global Finder manda regolarmente la sua posizione attraverso il nastro gratuito 800-MHz-ISM. Questo segnale non é soltanto raggiungibile per altri apparecchi PIEPS Global Finder, ma può anche essere assumato direttamente nella propria navigazione GPS. Con una funzione d’emergenza speciale questo segnale irradierà con una prestazione superiore ed é raggiungibile attraverso lunghi percorsi. In più nel PIEPS Global Finder Sky é integrato un modem satellite, con il quale é possibile depositare una chiamata d’emergenza sicura (!) attraverso il sistema Low-Orbit satellite – e questo da ogni punto del mondo!
