Directions The venue is within walking distance of Tram 3 (stop Elandstraat) running from Den Haag Centraal and Tram 11 (stop Weimarstraat), running from Den Haag HS.
Address: Spui 187 The Hague’s contemporary theatre is home to TodaysArt’s 2019 live AV shows and performances, taking place in two halls, the foyer, and the theatre studio. Directions The venue is right next to tram 2,3,4&6 (stop Spui ) running from Central Station. And tram 1, 9 & 16 (stop Bierkade) running from The Hague HS. Both train stations are also within walking distance (± 10 minutes). PAARD is within a 10-minute walk.
Address: Prinsegracht 12 05 Het Magazijn Club Address: Grote Markt 10 The Hague’s music venue Paard will set the stage for a major part of the music performances and club program of TodaysArt 2019. The venue was designed by Rem Koolhaas in 2003. Next to Paard you’ll find Het Magazijn, an underground club where you can dance until the early hours. Directions The venues are right next to tram 2,3,4,& 6 (stop Grote Markt) running from Central Station. Both train stations are also within 17 minutes’ walking distance, with Den Haag HS offering night time connections to both Amsterdam and Rotterdam every hour.

For our festival exhibition in De Electriciteitsfabriek, we have transformed the oldest turbine hall in The Netherlands into a spaceship full of conscious machines, learning computers, Artificial Intelligence, lasers, projectors and LEDs for one weekend only — providing a visually immersive and global snapshot that reflects the vitality and diversity of contemporary art and audiovisual creation.
Voor onze festivalexpo in De Electriciteitsfabriek, hebben we de oudste turbinehal van het land voor een weekend getransformeerd tot een ruimteschip vol machines, computers, kunstmatige intelligentie, lasers, projectoren en LEDs. De tentoonstelling zal een visueel immersieve en wereldse blik bieden op de vitaliteit en diversiteit van de wereld van moderne kunst & audiovisuele creatie.

The exhibition is centred around our festival theme ‘CONSCIOUSNESS.’ We will explore how awareness can give new meaning and relevance to the human mind in a digital world, and how art, philosophy, creativity and eventually consciousness will become crucial to humanity in our rapidly changing society. You could regard the exhibition as a piece of art in itself, as most of the works are site-specific, developed especially for this raw, industrial venue. Installations by artists Matthew Schreiber, Refik Anadol, Pablo Valbuena, Memo Akten, Philip Beesley and many others create unique and meaningful opportunities for immersion. Submit your senses to visual and sonic experiences, all driven by new technology and consciousness.
Je zou de expo als een kunstwerk an sich kunnen beschouwen: veel van de getoonde werken zijn namelijk speciaal ontworpen voor dit rauwe, industriële pand. Door de gehele hal zijn werken te zien van artiesten als Matthew Schreiber, Refik Anadol, Pablo Valbuena, Memo Akten, Philip Beesley en vele anderen, die samen unieke en betekenisvolle immersieve werelden zullen creëren.
