Record breaking trade sees an unbelievable Clearance rate of 91% and increases all round The 2014 Elite December Auction at Addington recorded a turnover of £647,000 for 53 horses sold, with increases in average prices and an unbelievable Clearance Rate of 91%. Brightwells decision to live stream the presentation of the Dressage Auction Horses with Michael Klimke on the Thursday evening prior to the sale proved very popular and enhanced our ability to reach many new clients. New clients were actively bidding from USA, Switzerland, Ireland and The Netherlands as well as many new and existing clients from the United Kingdom. The demand for high quality dressage horses was evident and Germany had the honour of selling the top five priced horses, with the magnificent 4 year old chestnut gelding Bonfire Heart, a son of Bonifatius, selling for £47,000 (59,220 euros). The second highest price came from a stunning 4 year old Oldenburg Licensed son of Blue Hors Romanov, called Blue Hors Rudisha. He sold for £45,000 (56,700 euro) and his dam is a full sister to Don Schufro.
