Dr. Julie Jaffe: “My favorite part of my day is sitting in the room with the door closed, speaking with my patients and their families. I feel as an oncologist I have the unique privilege of forming very close bonds with my them and their loved ones. It is very gratifying to develop close and meaningful relationships, and in a sense, to become a part of my patients’ lives.” -

Scotts Valley Times of Felton

2015 Poetry Contest Winner for the Capitola Soquel Times I wrote this when I stumbled across a stack of old love letters when we cleaned out my Inlaw’s house after they had passed away. They were married for 43 years before she died. This poem is dedicated to couples who write letters and keep them tucked away in an old box or tied up with a faded ribbon to be read and re-read again.

This year’s summer school, Summer Safari, will run June 22-July 16 from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (including lunch) at Green Acres Elementary School. Invitation letters will start to go out this month.
