ST. PETERSBURG DEBUTANTE CLUB PRESENTATION BALL In an annual tradition that dates to 1937, the St. Petersburg Debutante Club presented 13 young women at the Coliseum in December. Onetime Mayor Bob Ulrich, who was master of ceremonies for the evening, said nearly 1,300 have observed the tradition since the event’s inception. 1. A holiday tradition in St. Petersburg, the yearly celebration brings together friends and family of the honorees, who gather under the decorative lights inside the historic Coliseum.
