Volunteer Recognition Mitch Maki

The Thousand Oaks Teen Center would like to recognize Mr. Mitch Maki for his many contributions as a volunteer volleyball coach in the Teen Center’s Middle School Volleyball League. Mitch has coached the Sycamore Canyon Middle School teams for the past 9 years. His hard work, determination, and knowledge of the game have developed Sycamore Canyon’s volleyball program into one of the best in the Conejo. Quite a few of Mitch’s players, including his 2 sons, have gone on to star on their club and/or high school teams. Mitch’s enthusiasm and support have helped the Teen Center Volleyball League become an outstanding program.

YOUTH OUTREACH This multipurpose community social service program is jointly sponsored by the Conejo Recreation and Park District and the Conejo Valley Unified School District. By design, outreach workers seek out and address the needs of non-involved and hard-to-reach youths. Duties include life skills programs, community referral service, recreational programming, and crisis intervention.
