Day 1: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (D) Welcome aboard with The Upper Class as you celebrate the 61st Anniversary of the Ottawa Tulip Festival, the world’s largest Tulip Festival. Witness stunning architecture set as the backdrop of nearly three million tulips in Canada’s capital city. On arrival in Ottawa, you’ll check into the Lord Elgin Hotel, which is one of the Ottawa’s finest hotels. Ideally located in the heart of downtown Ottawa - directly across from Confederation Park and the National Arts Centre, this is your home for the next three nights. You cannot help but feel pampered with an indoor, heated pool, whirlpool, sauna and fitness center. After time to relax, you’ll enjoy a drink and hors d’oeuvres at a private reception as you to get to know your fellow travelers. Tonight, dine at Ottawa’s original and most popular restaurant, The Fish Market. This Maritime-themed restaurant serves a great assortment of fresh seafood (of course, there’s also non-seafood options).

After lunch, you’ll meet your local guide for a tour of Ottawa including wondrous panoramas of the Capital City, famed Sussex Drive with its museums, churches, embassies, Royal Canadian Mint and the Prime Minister’s home. You’ll also visit several locations for the best views of the millions of tulips in Ottawa. Discover how the Festival, which grew from a Dutch gift of friendship, became the world’s largest Tulip Festival with millions of tulips in 50 varieties in bloom! Day 3: Ottawa Tulip Festival (B, D) After a leisurely morning, you’ll journey to the Canadian Museum of Civilization, an architectural jewel. Here, you’ll experience a remarkable guided journey of discovery through the wealth of Canada’s culture, traveling across 1,000 years of history. See the history of this land vividly brought to life through the many exhibitions. Later, marvel at Rideau Hall, the official residence and workplace of the Governor General of Canada - an impressive 1867 mansion surrounded by 79 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds and gardens.

Day 2: Ottawa Tulip Festival (B) Begin your exploration of Ottawa with a guided tour of Parliament Hill, known for its regal architecture. You’ll visit the Canadian Senate and House of Commons. Be on the lookout for “mounties” and great photo opportunities. Truly a must-see! Head for Byward Market, one of Canada’s oldest and largest public Guided tour of beautiful markets, one of those uniquely Ottawa Parliament Hill neighborhoods not to be missed.
