THE BENEFITS OF FORMING BIBLE STUDY

AND FAITH-BASED FRIENDS GROUPS IN ADULTHOOD

The majority of Bahamians who grew up in a Christian home are very familiar with youth group and Bible study sessions at their churches.

For many, it was the norm, growing up, to meet up with friends to talk about Bible verses and stories. However, as adults, this tradition may have become a thing of the past for some.

Tribune Religion spoke to a number of readers who shared their thoughts on creating Bible study meet-ups with friends in adulthood.

“It’s not an actual Bible study meet up per se, but we have a group chat where every other day one of the ladies in the group either opens in prayer or song. Those who don’t do that, send an inspirational quote or message. I’d never look at things like this as small,” said Angelica Bethel.

She said the group is always a great way to kickstart to her day, and the morning messages go a long way.

“Gospel music makes me very emotional every single time, and I have a friend in that group who was born with vocals like Brandy and Monica. When she sings, oh my goodness, we all get chills; all for the glory of God. I hope we always get to experience this with each other,” said Angelica.

Christie Ferguson said: “I actually do have Christian and spiritual based friends that I can pray with and grow closer to God with. We are just missing the part of having

Bible study, but it is never too late.”

For Bianca Cooper, she admitted that although she is of Christian faith, she doesn’t know the Bible as well as she should.

“I wouldn’t mind having a friend that encourages more talks about studying the Bible. What I also love about life post-COVID-19 is how accessible things are online - like podcasts. Listening to an inspirational or faith-based podcast on (religious) topics also helps a person who’s in their walk with God, and I absolutely love it,” said Bianca.

Betty Rolle added: “It’s kinda off topic from Bible study, but I believe it still

falls in line..with the subject. I recently attended a gospel concert with one of my best friends and it was not only a first, but it was one of the most exciting experiences ever,” she said.

“We go out occasionally to fun events, but never an event like that one. She has her relationship with God, and so do I, but I think that was the first time we both praised and worshipped together. I didn’t realise how amazing a spiritual encounter like that could be. I wouldn’t hesitate to attend another gospel concert with her or any of my friends. It’s highly recommend.”

The importance of remaining steadfast in times of trouble: Lessons from the Apostles for today’s challenges

In times of hardship and adversity, the virtue of remaining steadfast in faith has been a consistent message passed down through generations, from the early Christian communities to the present day.

The Apostles and apostolic fathers of the early Christian Church faced immense challenges and persecution, yet they emphasised the importance of unwavering faith and endurance in the face of trials.

The teachings of the Apostles, such as Peter, Paul and John, as well as the writings of apostolic fathers like Ignatius of Antioch and Polycarp, underscored the need for believers to stand firm in their faith, even amidst persecution and tribulations. Their

letters and teachings encouraged early Christians to remain steadfast in their dedication to God, no matter the obstacles they faced.

Today, the message of remaining steadfast in times of trouble resonates across all facets of life. From personal struggles and hardships to societal challenges and global crises, individuals are confronted with various trials that test their faith and resilience. Whether it be health issues, financial difficulties, relationship problems, or uncertainties in the world, the call to remain steadfast in faith is as relevant now as it was in the early days of Christianity.

Steadfastness in faith not only provides believers with the strength to endure difficult times but also serves as a foundation for growth and spiritual

maturity. By trusting in God's grace and remaining faithful to His teachings, individuals can navigate through challenges with hope and resilience, knowing that God is guiding them towards a greater purpose.

In a world marked by uncertainty and turmoil, the virtue of steadfast faith offers believers a sense of stability and peace amidst the storms of life. By emulating the example set by the Apostles and apostolic fathers, who remained resolute in their faith despite facing intense persecution and hardships, individuals today can draw inspiration to persevere in their own trials.

Ultimately, the message of remaining steadfast in the time of trouble serves as a reminder that through faith and endurance, individuals can overcome

obstacles and reach the mark that God has set for them. By anchoring themselves in the unwavering love and grace of God, believers can navigate through challenges with strength and perseverance, knowing that their steadfastness in faith will lead them to where God is guiding them.

As the challenges of life continue to test individuals in various ways, the timeless wisdom of remaining steadfast in faith remains a beacon of hope and encouragement for all who seek to endure and overcome. Just as the Apostles and apostolic fathers stood firm in their faith amidst trials, so too can believers today draw strength from their example and trust in God's grace to lead them through difficult times.

The biblical character who goes ‘down the rabbit hole’ into an alternate reality − just like Alice in Wonderland

(THE CONVERSATION)

The Bible’s Book of Job opens on an ordinary day in the land of Uz, where a man carefully performs religious rituals to protect his children. This routine has never failed Job, who is described as the most righteous person on the planet. But on this particular day, every one of his children is killed when a powerful wind brings down their house.

This makes no sense! Job did nothing wrong. Three friends visit Job and mourn with him. But an epic debate erupts when they claim that, if Job is the target of God’s wrath, it must have been deserved.

Job, on the other hand, says God has deprived him of justice and demands an explanation from the Almighty. He and his friends argue through poetry – a “rap battle” with beautiful imagery, eloquent wordplay and sarcastic insults.

A faded illustration of an elderly man reaching toward the sky as other figures kneel around him with their heads in their hands.

The Book of Job is frequently touted as a literary masterpiece for the way it challenges foundational beliefs. Many stories have been written about characters like Job, thrust into a topsy-turvy world where nothing works the way it should. Suddenly, they must rethink their understanding about how the universe operates.

As a scholar of the Hebrew Bible, I see the closest parallels in another classic book – but perhaps not one you’d expect.

Down the rabbit hole

Lewis Carroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland,” published in 1865, is a hallmark of children’s literature because of the way it encourages curiosity. Like the Book of Job, the novel upends literary conventions and mocks elders, teachers and religious leaders – really, anyone

who tries to tell you that life will be OK if you stop asking questions and follow the rules.

It opens with a little girl named Alice, who is bored one afternoon until she sees a rabbit check its pocket watch and declare that it’s running late. She follows it down a rabbit hole and into Wonderland, a dreamlike place where cats vanish into thin air, babies turn into pigs and caterpillars smoke hookah.

Everyday logic no longer applies. Like Job, Alice must question her assumptions if she is to make sense of what is happening around her. Other fantasy worlds require swords, but Alice battles the fantastical creatures of Wonderland with words. As with Job, her ordinary day has gone upside-down, and she finds herself in a debate about reality.

Method to the madness?

Each of these books pushes back against easy answers and heavy-handed morals, which were expected in both ancient wisdom literature and Victorian children’s stories.

Proverbs in Job’s day taught that wickedness leads to punishment. Bestsellers in Carroll’s day included the “Fatal Effects of

his own version, which complains that it is petty for an infinite creator to spend so much time testing humans.

Carroll grew up singing songs like “Against Idleness and Mischief,” composed by minister Isaac Watts to teach children that they should work hard like an innocent, busy bee. When Alice tries to remember this song, it comes out in Wonderland logic, where a sinister crocodile eats little fish.

Both parodies sarcastically question the underlying assumptions of the original poem. Is it always good to have God’s attention? Is hard work always good?

Throughout the trial, Alice becomes more and more bold. While everyone else cowers in fear, she is willing to question court conventions when they are manipulated by those in power.

Voicing her protest seems to awaken her from Wonderland and back to the “real” world. The book ends with a note about how she will never lose “the simple and loving heart of her childhood” – that is, she won’t forget that kids can have fun for fun’s sake.

Disobedience to Parents,” a story about a little girl who burned herself to the ground after her parents told her not to play with fire.

The characters who debate Job and Alice are desperate to find these kinds of lessons in the midst of chaos.

Job’s friends claim that “upright” people never suffer and always enjoy divine protection – unaware that God has already acknowledged Job is “upright.” They look silly as they search in vain for a sin that explains Job’s suffering and scoff when he suggests there is none.

Alice, meanwhile, squares up against characters such as the Duchess, who offers ridiculous suggestions about the moral of Alice’s story. The Duchess scoffs when Alice suggests that there is none.

Wordplay, not swordplay

Job and Alice, on the other hand, make fun of society’s rules – as when they sing parodies of religious songs.

Psalm 8, a hymn of praise in the Bible, waxes eloquent about how beautiful it is that the almighty God spends time caring about insignificant humans. Job recites

This shows how both books play with style, including intentional misspellings, rare and even made-up words, and elements borrowed from other languages. They coined enduring phrases such as Job’s “by the skin of my teeth” and “the root of the matter,” or Wonderland’s “down the rabbit hole.”

These techniques add an otherworldly texture to the language of Uz and Wonderland, far from the books’ original readership in Israel and England. The diction opens countless possibilities for puns and wordplay and forces readers to question basic assumptions about language.

Order in the court

Ultimately, these stories make readers consider a fundamental desire: justice. The adventures of Alice and Job both culminate in epic trials, dominated by stormy authority figures. But if the protagonists can’t even rely on words’ meanings, how can they rely on the law?

When Alice meets Wonderland’s ruler, the Queen of Hearts, she is “frowning like a thunderstorm,” and Alice is “too much frightened to say a word.”

But she is displeased with the queen’s arbitrary distribution of justice and summons the courage to challenge her during a trial for the Knave of Hearts, who stands accused of stealing the sovereign’s tarts.

A faded illustration with a blue background, depicting angels, people and large, fantastic beasts. God storms into the conversation. William Blake/The Morgan Library via Wikimedia Commons Back in the land of Uz, Job wishes that a court judge would compel God to explain why he is being punished. Certain he did nothing wrong, he says he would wear the accusations like a crown and refute every charge.

God, aware of Job’s innocence the entire time, was never trying to punish him. The deity finally appears in the middle of a whirlwind, and Job puts his hand over his own mouth. It is difficult to argue with the Almighty.

Job had accused his friends of merely flattering God when they insisted his “punishment” was the result of divine wisdom. In the end, God blesses Job for speaking honestly – using a Hebrew word, “nekhonah,” that appears only one other time in the Bible, where it stands in contrast to flattery.

It turns out that God is pleased by those who are honest when a moral agenda doesn’t fit reality –people who, like Job and Alice, speak truth to power.

The ‘Curse of Ham’: how people of faith used a story in Genesis to justify slavery

(THE CONVERSATION)

According to a report by an independent oversight committee released in March 2024, the Church of England should pay £1bn ($1.25 billion) in reparations – 10 times the previously set amount – to the descendants of slavery.

The report was the start of a “multi-generational response to the appalling evil of transatlantic chattel enslavement”, said Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury and the spiritual leader of the global Anglican Communion of about 85 million Christians.

His words summon the shocking spectacle of the 17th and 18th centuries, when the Church of England owned vast plantations in the Caribbean, chiefly in Barbados, employing thousands of slaves. Slavery was thought to be entirely consistent with the Christian message of bringing the Gospel to the “savages”. The Christian leaders even branded “their” slaves “SPG” – the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel.

“Cursed be Canaan”

The Anglican Church is not alone: all mainstream Christian denominations were deeply involved in the slave trade, as were the main branches of Islam.

How could this be possible? How had religions supposedly dedicated to propagating the word of a compassionate and loving God become so intricately involved in this “appalling evil”?

The answer is rooted in a grotesque misuse of the very words of the Bible. Of the many ways that Christians have invoked the Bible to justify their actions, none has exceeded in cruelty and wilful ignorance their appropriation of the “Curse of Ham” to justify slavery.

Ham (no relation!) was the youngest son of the Biblical patriarch Noah. When Ham saw his father drunk and naked, Noah felt so humiliated that he put a curse on Ham’s son, Canaan, condemning his descendants to perpetual slavery. Here is the moment, as told

in Genesis 9:24-25 (New King James Version):

“So Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son [Ham] had done unto him. Then he said: ‘Cursed be Canaan. A servant of servants he shall be to his brethren’.”

The making of a ‘slave race’

Since the 15th century, religious leaders have cited the passage as the justification for the enslavement of all African people. For almost 500 years, priests taught their flocks that a Hebrew prophet had condemned millions of Africans to slavery because they were descended from Ham’s son Canaan. The curse of Ham thus formed the core religious justification for the trans-Atlantic slave trade. The curse of Ham entered Islamic thought in the 7th century, as a result of the influence of Christianity, and medieval Muslim scholars drew on Noah’s curse in their work, as the historian David M Goldenberg has shown. The Koran, however, makes no mention of the curse and Muhummad’s Farewell Address rejects the superiority of white people over Black people.

According to this reading of Genesis, God had not only mandated slavery, he had also predestined Black people as a “slave race”. In fact, some Christian leaders argued that it was in the Africans’ interests to be enslaved, because their captivity would hasten their conversion,

Chams posteritie, are sold like slaves yet.”

In the American colonies the Curse of Ham served as the ideological justification for African slavery. The Puritan colonisers of the New World bought slaves in large numbers to turn Providence, Rhode Island, into a Christian “city on a hill”. All were deemed the progeny of Canaan.

ferocious customs thousands of children of the race of Canaan”, the accursed progeny of Ham. All this was Biblical balm to slave traders and owners who feared for the salvation of their souls. The religious justification of slavery erased those concerns.

purifying and redeeming their souls in readiness for Judgement Day.

By manacling and herding millions of Africans onto ships bound for the colonies, slave traders and their enabling church leaders and governments had persuaded themselves that they were guiding the “Negroes” out of darkness and into salvation.

The historian Katie Cannon described the process another way:

“Drunk with power and driven by grand delusions, government officials and officers of slavetrading companies… succumbed to the lies and manipulations that their soul salvation depended on the ceaseless replication of systemic violence.”

The justification for African slavery in America

The first written use of the Curse of Ham to justify slavery appeared in the 15th century, when Gomes Eanes de Zurara, a Portuguese historian, wrote that the enchained Africans he’d seen were in such a wretched state “because of the curse which, after the Deluge, Noah laid upon [Ham]… that his race should be subject to all the other races of the world”.

In 1627, an English author and defender of the slave trade wrote:

“This curse to be a servant was laid, first upon a disobedient sonne Cham [Ham], and wee see to this day, that the Moores,

The moral obscenity of slavery was the root cause of the American Civil War (1861–1865). Both sides enrolled God’s authority in their cause. In the south this involved a literal reading of the Curse of Ham. Sulphuric southern preachers thundered that Noah’s condemnation of Canaan had condemned all Africans to slavery. An “almost universal opinion in the Christian world” held that “the sufferings and the slavery of the Negro race were the consequence of the curse of Noah”, asserted Alexander Crummell (1819–1898), an African-American minister and Cambridge-educated academic, in 1862.

Benjamin M Palmer (1818–1902), pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in New Orleans and Mississippi’s preeminent clergyman during the Civil War, raged in sermon after sermon that Noah’s curse was a prophetic blueprint of the destinies of the “white”, “black” and “red” races. While the white descendants of Shem and Japhet (Noah’s elder sons) would flourish and succeed, Palmer asserted that “[u]pon Ham was pronounced the doom of perpetual servitude…”.

An important reference in the Civil War

In the opening months of the Civil War, bigotry and rank superstition blanketed the south with a Biblical defence of slavery. Southern Catholics also eagerly cited the curse as a validation of slavery. On August 21, 1861, Bishop Augustus Marie Martin of Natchitoches, Louisiana, declared in a pastoral letter, “On the occasion of the war of southern independence”, that slavery was “the manifest will of God”, and that all Catholics must snatch “from the barbarity of their

Setting aside the theologians’ misuse of Genesis, even on its own terms the Curse of Ham made a vague and unpersuasive case for slavery. Nowhere in Genesis is there a curse on Africans or black-skinned people.

If slave traders needed an explicit Biblical endorsement of slavery, they might have turned to the New Testament, where we find Saint Peter telling slaves to “be submissive to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the harsh”. Or Saint Paul, who urged slaves to “be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling”.

Come abolitionism

Abolitionists were not silent in the face of this grotesque rendering of Christendom’s most sacred text. In a 5 July 1852 speech, Frederick Douglass, the great anti-slavery activist and politician who had himself escaped his “owner”, delivered this response to those who peddled the Curse of Ham from their pulpits:

“[The] church of this country is not only indifferent to the wrongs of the slave, it actually takes sides with the oppressors. It has made itself the bulwark of American slavery, and the shield of American slave-hunters… They have taught that man may, properly, be a slave; that the relation of master and slave is ordained of God…”

And all based on a misinterpretation of Genesis 9:24-25 by the pro-slavery “Divines”, who thus transformed their religion into an engine of tyranny and barbarous cruelty. It was a sham and a lie, and anything but what Christianity was held to stand for.

THE DRUNKENNESS OF NOAH’ BY GIOVANNI BELLINI

A MILESTONE REACHED IN MAINLINE PROTESTANT CHURCHES’ DECADES-OLD DISPUTES OVER LGBTQ INCLUSION

1970s

THE fight to allow same-sex marriage and gay clergy has defined much of the last halfcentury for major mainline Protestant denominations in the US, mirroring in many ways the broader fight for LGBTQ+ inclusion in civic life.

Within these theologically moderate-to-progressive Protestant groups, the decades of wrestling over whether to reaffirm or overturn long-standing anti-LGBTQ+ church policies sowed deep divisions throughout the denominations. It's caused hurt feelings, broken relationships, disciplinary church trials and schisms.

The United Methodist Church, which stripped out its bans and related social teachings over the past two weeks, is the last of the major mainline church bodies to go through this process.

This timeline highlights key milestones and flashpoints within the UMC, Presbyterian Church (USA), Episcopal Church, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, United Church of Christ, as well as in civic life.

1960s

June 28, 1969, police raid the Stonewall Inn, an underground gay bar in New York City. It sparked a rebellion and fueled the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement.

April 1972, the United Methodist Church has first public debate on homosexuality at a General Conference. The conference approves non-binding Social Principles, declaring the "practice of homosexuality ... incompatible with Christian teaching.” It also says “persons of homosexual orientation are persons of sacred worth.”

June 25, 1972, William R Johnson becomes the first openly gay person to be ordained a minister in the United Church of Christ. September 1979, Episcopal Church General Convention approves resolution saying it is “not appropriate for this church to ordain a practicing homosexual or any person who is engaged in heterosexual relations outside of marriage.” It also says homosexual people have an equal claim on the church’s love and acceptance.

1980s

May 1984, United Methodist General Conference approves rule declaring that “self-avowed practicing homosexuals are not to be accepted as candidates, ordained as ministers, or appointed to serve.”

1990s

February 28, 1994, the federal “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy goes into effect, allowing gay and lesbian people to serve in the US military only if

they don’t openly acknowledge their sexual orientation. A prior policy barred them altogether.

May 1996, Episcopal Bishop Walter C Righter goes on trial in the church for heresy for ordaining an openly gay man as a deacon. He is later acquitted.

July 5, 1996, Presbyterian Church (USA) General Assembly bans noncelibate gay clergy, requiring church officers to live in “fidelity within the covenant of marriage between a man and a woman or chastity in singleness.”

September 21, 1996, the federal Defence of Marriage Act is signed into law, limiting federal recognition of marriage to heterosexual couples.

2000s

June 7, 2003 Gene Robinson is elected the first openly gay bishop in the Episcopal Church.

November 18, 2003 - Massachusetts becomes the first to legalize same-sex marriage statewide.

July 4, 2005 United Church of Christ General Synod affirms marriage rights for all couples regardless of gender.

June 22, 2009 The Anglican Church in North America forms. It is led by a breakaway group of mostly former Episcopalians who disagreed with the Episcopal Church’s decision to allow an openly gay person to be a bishop, and other theological issues.

August 21, 2009 Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s Churchwide Assembly allows partnered gay and lesbian people to be pastors.

2010s

August 27, 2010, the Rev Jane Spahr is found guilty in a Presbyterian Church (USA) trial on misconduct charges for presiding over same-gender marriage ceremonies.

August 27, 2010, North American Lutheran Church, a conservative denomination formed in response to liberal trends in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, is constituted.

May 10, 2011, Presbyterian Church (USA) ratifies amendment that opens the door to LGBTQ clergy, removing a requirement that clergy “live either in fidelity within the covenant of marriage between a man and a woman or chastity in singleness.”

September 20, 2011, “Don’t ask, don’t tell” law repealed.

January 2012, the Evangelical Covenant Order of Presbyterians forms. Conservative congregations joined this and older breakaway denominations in response to liberal trends in the Presbyterian Church (USA).

May 31, 2013, R Guy Erwin becomes the first openly gay bishop elected in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

November 2013, the Rev Frank Schaefer is found guilty in a United Methodist Church trial for performing his son’s same-sex wedding in 2007.

March 17, 2015, Presbyterian Church (USA) ratifies amendment to its constitution calling marriage a “unique commitment between two people,” no longer limited to a couple consisting of one man and one woman.

June 26, 2015, United States Supreme Court legalises samesex marriage nationwide.

July 1, 2015, the Episcopal Church permits any couple the rite of matrimony.

July 16, 2016, Karen Oliveto becomes the United Methodist Church’s first openly lesbian bishop.

2020s

May 8, 2021, Megan Rohrer becomes the first openly transgender bishop in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

May 1, 2022, Global Methodist Church launches. This is a breakaway group that left the United Methodist Church over its lack of enforcement of its bans on gay clergy and same-sex marriage.

April 23 to May 3, 2024, United Methodists dismantle their denomination’s anti-LGBTQ policies and teachings, including lifting bans on same-sex marriage and gay clergy.

Cheers and flames as Orthodox worshippers greet the ancient ceremony of the ‘Holy Fire’

JERUSALEM

BELLS and clamour, incense and flames. One of the most chaotic gatherings in the Christian calendar is the ancient ceremony of the “Holy Fire,” with worshippers thronging the Church of the Holy Sepulchre last Saturday.

Cheers and prayers rang out as candles one by one were lit after reaching through a small opening into Jesus’ tomb. Soon, the dim chamber was lit by a constellation of handheld flames as part of the rite of Orthodox Easter week in Jerusalem. Worshippers believe the flame’s origin is a miracle.

One man waved his flame back and forth as if anointing his beard, smiling. Some young men holding crosses jumped up and down in the crowd and chanted.

“I am speechless, I don’t even know how to explain it,” said one worshipper, Angela Manoug. "It is my first time that I have seen the holy light, and I am very

blessed by God to have seen it.”

The ceremony for believers in Greek Orthodox communities has been held for more than a millennium. The church is built on the site where Christian tradition holds that Jesus was crucified, buried and resurrected.

There is not enough space for all who would like to attend, which has caused friction with Israeli authorities, and stampedes have occurred in the past. But Saturday’s event was joyous, if jostling, and reflective amid the IsraelHamas war not far away.

“This year is very sad, but I wish with the light of the holy fire from Jerusalem will give peace all around the world, thank you and happy Easter, Jesus is risen,” said a worshipper, Issa Assasieh, with flames in both fists.

Successful prayer conference reminds believers of the importance of communication with God

jgibson@tribunemedia.net

PRAYER is the lifeline of the Christian believer.

In order to have a quality walk with God and overcome the many trials along the journey, communication with the Almighty is necessary.

This was the resounding message as Minister Patricia Pratt and The Prayers & Inspiration Network held their 10th annual “Surviving Through Prayer Conference”. This year’s theme was "My Season of Victory”. Th conference is held every year on the last Saturday in April.

Last month, it was hosted with the intent of ushering followers into a time of prayer and worship while also reminding them have how far their faith in God has brought them.

The conference featured a word from guest speaker Prophetess Jalysha Seide from

Freeport, Grand Bahama, who reminded attendees that God is still “answering prayers”.

Minister Pratt encouraged the people of the Bahamas, according to Philippians 4:6, to "be not anxious concerning anything but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving make their request known to God.”

“Our theme for this year’s conference was ‘My Season of Victory’ and it was chosen to let the body know that God is a God of times and seasons and just as sure as it is for the believers to suffer - to be tormented, rejected, treated cruelly, victimised and so on -0 we are just as sure to experience victory in every area of our lives,” Minister Pratt told Tribune Religion.

“Our aim was to not only encourage the people of God, but to also remind them that God is not slack concerning his promises and that He will make good on his word and answer our prayers.”

This year’s conference, she said, saw a huge turn-out and their Fellowship Hall was filled to the brim with guests.

“Indeed, our expectations were exceeded this year. The level of support, our partners.. God came through and for this we give Him all praise,” said Minister Pratt.

“For me, the main takeaway was the lives that were touched through receiving personal impartation; the fact that we were able to feed our quest, not only spiritually but physicallyfood was prepared for everyone, free of charge and thank God we did not run out - and also the conclusion of the conference and seeing that if we remain faithful to God. He will remain faithful to us. Also, regardless of how things sometimes begin, we must remember that He who has began a good work is faithful to complete it and will not allow to be made ashamed,” she said.
