Carbondale Community High School • CCHS Scholar Bowl Team - Illinois State Champions in 2009, 2nd Place in 2006; Masonic Tournament State Champions in 2009. • CCHS WYSE Team - 3rd Place in State in 2009, 5th Place in 2008. • CCHS Band awarded the Marine Esprit de Corps Award and the CCHS Music Program ranked 9th in the State and 5th in their Division. • CCHS Architectural CAD students won the 2009 National Skyscraper Competition for the H.O.B. Plus Associates Architectural Firm. • CCHS Boys Soccer - 2nd Place in State in 2003. • CCHS Boys Basketball - 2nd Place in State in 2005, 4th Place in 2004. • CCHS Boys Track - Individual Champions in State Finals in 2003 and 2009. • CCHS All-State Academic Team 1st Team Members in both 2006 and 2007 (26 Students chosen each year state-wide for high academic achievement and success in IHSA competitions.)
