Discover how to pay closer attention to the various obvious and subtle ways our body communicates as a call for healing. Explore how to interpret this communication through the senses, anatomical channels and subtle energy fields. Learn how to listen to bodily signals in order to maintain health, heal from injury or manage illness. If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other. ~ Mother Teresa The special programs coming up in June represent an extraordinary journey that began in June of 1996 with the official founding of the American Healing Arts Alliance Inc. (AHAA) as a 501c3 non-profit organization. As a community service organization AHAA's visibility has grown over the years starting with a small brochure, that became a newsletter, then a magazine and now internet presence in support of AHAA's educational and networking programs. AHAA's educational programs and networking events have involved countless individuals interested in the healing arts and sciences. In honor of a milestone I will be hosting AHAA's fifteenth anniversary events in June as described above and in the AHAA 2nd

Quarter 2011 Newsletter on pages 1 & 2. I invite you to also take a look at page 4 of the newsletter to view the full page photo montage as a sampling of AHAA's activities since 1996. The invitation to attend these special events includes all newcomers, as well as long time readers of my Peace Nouvella™ newsletter. As founder and current President of AHAA I recently began including links to the AHAA newsletter on my Peace Nouvella™ Publications webpage. The three AHAA anniversary programs are being hosted here at Peace Point in Edgewater, Maryland. If you are planning to attend any of these events be sure to mark your calendar beginning with the first one on Saturday June 11, 2011, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. This event as the first of three events includes a pot-luck dinner and silent auction as fundraiser for AHAA. These events help support AHAA's educational programs and monthly events. The three AHAA anniversary programs are being hosted at Peace Point in Edgewater, Maryland. Contact Us for details. My next workshop being offered is Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Anne Arundel Community College. Titled Your Body Speaks it is the only workshop I currently co-present with physical therapist Faith Hagerty. See the About Us page on my website for our biographies. The other two workshops coming up are designed to increase self awareness of your intuitive skills. These skills can provide insights that can enhance your understanding of our profound interconnectedness. This includes our cocreative connection with all of life that can be experienced as an interactive dialogue with nature. (See Nature as Healer, A Co-creative Journey workshop on May 21st.) Within each of us, with no exception, is our whole i.e. "higher" Self awareness. This Self by many names can serve as your inner Teacher and Guide that is aware of who we are in entirety. Our whole Self is therefore able see beyond the seeming fray and fret concerns we busy ourselves with each day. This can develop into a trusted forever loving relationship within one's own mind as one with the one Mind of God we all share together. (See the Intuition, Creativity and Inner Guidance workshop on June 4th). Both workshops are offered here at Peace Point as described under the Events & Courses section of this newsletter.

Description: This introductory class will help you become aware of your inner creative resources and foster peak experiences as a deep inner knowing awareness of your higher Self emerges. The seeker and seer in you can awaken you to your own inner reSource. As you begin to trust this as a loving awareness of your higher Self within you can achieve greater moment-to-moment self-confidence and develop as a profound connection to the whole of creation. This awareness can allow you to discern and evaluate both inner and outer guidance in ways that foster increased insights, synchronicity, intuitive knowing and creative expression. Through demonstrations, experiential exercises and group discussion this workshop will help you stimulate and develop a heightened awareness of your multi-sensory "clair" i.e clear "sixth" sense abilities. presentation is co-creatively designed as an introduction to the Peace Nouvella™ comprehensive course of study. Individual and group participation includes lecture, discussion and experiential exercises. The words Peace Nouvella mean "a new peace scripted in the heart, co-authored with God". This co-authorship involves connecting with the highest aspects of your being for personal growth, healing and creative expression. Further in-depth study includes; meditation, inner peacebuilding, intuition and a subtle energy training and a hands healing practice called the Peace Pulse™. It also includes the creative arts for healing through: journaling, art, music, theater and storytelling. THE HEALER WITHIN, The Body, Mind, Spirit Conneciton Date/Time: Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, 10:00am – 4:00pm (1/2 hr. bag lunch) Cost: $85 Registration Form: Due August 25, 2011. Description: Experience a deeper understanding of the inner healing mechanisms we all have. The body's wisdom knows day and night how to maintain health, circulation (air, fluids, solids etc.), heal wounds and create balance our lives. This inner wisdom represents our unconscious mind in partnership with our conscious mind's command to balance our sleeping and waking activities. Multi-sensory exercises combine visualization, inner listening, bio-rhythm and subtle energy awareness with music, art and journaling. The exercises are designed to stimulate and increase the healing power within. Bring a journal or sketchbook, set of colored pencils and dress comfortably.
MEDITATION - Creating More Inner Peace and Health Date/Time: Call for times Cost: $15 per hour session or $50 per month (4 sessions each month) Registration Form: Due one week before each session or 4 week or series. Description: Create more inner peace, health and balance in all areas of your life. Develop an understanding of meditative healing practices as they relate to individual and global healing. These include active mind and still mind forms as well as walking and other forms of moving meditation. Techniques using sound, visualization and journaling are also covered combining music, art and writing to help you integrate meditative practices into your daily life. Learn the benefits of both a personalized practice and a supportive group environment to increase vitality, mental clarity, concentration, creativity, wholeness and harmony.
