And perhaps, our numbers are most impressive because we never treat you like one. At University's Women's Center every delivery is a special delivery. Named after Dr. W.G. Watson (who delivered over 18,000 babies in the Augusta area) the Women's Center offers an array of well-appointed, state-of-the-art birthing rooms. Guests have their choice of traditional rooms or all-in-one suites that convert for labor, delivery and recovery in the same location. The Women's Center also has a 40-bed Level III Special Care Nursery equipped and staffed to care for premature and high-risk newborns should problems arise.
