South Yorkshire’s Mayor, Oliver Coppard, has announced that the region will take a major step toward re-opening Doncaster-Sheffield Airport (DSA) and allow for a 10-year plan to drive economic growth in Doncaster, subject to the decision of the Mayoral Combined Authority Board on 13 February 2024. Fifteen months since DSA was closed by owners Peel Group, the Mayor, City of Doncaster Council and the Mayoral Combined Authority (MCA) have been working tirelessly in the interests of the public and businesses in South Yorkshire to find a way to re-open it that is legally and financially sound and protects the taxpayer. Last summer, the MCA awarded City of Doncaster

Council £3.1 million to prepare an Outline Business Case to take control of the airport through a leasing arrangement, re-establish operations under a new business model, and use the asset as an anchor for growth at the wider Gateway East site to support economic regeneration and benefits to the city and region as a whole. The Outline Business Case, published last week, states that re-opening the airport provides the best opportunity to secure economic growth and wellbeing not just in Doncaster but will have wider benefits for South Yorkshire as a whole. City of Doncaster Council will have £138 million made available by the MCA via Gainshare to support economic ambitions

including as outlined in the Doncaster Place Investment Plan which includes South Yorkshire Airport City and Gateway East. Elements of activity could also be supported from other MCA funding that has been set aside to support this project. Ultimately, significant investment is going into Doncaster to help it pursue the jobs, growth and opportunity it wants, and it will be local and regional residents and businesses who will benefit. Crucially, the Outline Business Case is built on creating a sustainable airport hub with the airport anchoring a sector specific focus on aviation-related advanced manufacturing, advanced engineering and the growing jet-zero and decarbonisation industries. Applied research is one

of South Yorkshire’s core strengths as evidenced through McClaren, Boeing, Rolls-Royce, and Hybrid Air Vehicles choosing to locate in the region, and the opportunity exists to locate the next wave of advanced manufacturing at Gateway East connected to global markets through a reopened DSA. Linking the return of aviation to the UK’s first Investment Zone worth £160 million with a focus on advance manufacturing could present significant opportunities for businesses and communities in Doncaster and the wider region, helping address long term challenges in productivity, worklessness and low wages, and poor life outcomes that hold South Yorkshire back. The MCA Board is being

asked to approve the recommendation to work up a Full Business Case which could be completed as soon as Spring 2024. If this happens and a suitable operator is found, South Yorkshire could be well on its way to seeing DSA re-open. City of Doncaster Council will continue to lead on the negotiation with airport owners and the procurement exercise to attract a new operator and public investment remains contingent on the successful completion of those negotiations. The MCA will continue to provide strategic advice and support to the council in relation to the wider regeneration of the development of the Gateway East site to support a reopened airport.

Support in the Pipeline for SheffieldFinal stage of Crystal Peaks based cultural organisations improvement work set to begin Work to replace the award-winning Sheffield shopping mall’s glazing system and associated mechanical and electrical equipment - all part of a drive towards greater energy efficiency - started last summer. The glazing in both the east and west malls is proceeding on schedule and now work has recently begun on the most complex section of the project - the Crystal Peaks central atrium. “This has been a significant project that was in the planning stages for a considerable time before launch to ensure that the works are completed safely,” said Crystal Peaks centre manager Lee Greenwood. “The work has include replacing glass and the underlying sub-frame that supports the glass, replacing it with a new, improved and more thermally efficient glazing system. “The aim is to enhance safety, preventing water ingress and assist with more energy efficient internal climate control and ensure the centre is fit for purpose for future decades. “Some of the lighting, ventilation and fire safety equipment in the high-level areas is also being replaced.” Lee added that work on the central atrium would, as with the rest of the project, be carried out with the mini-

mum inconvenience to both businesses and customers, with contractors scheduled to have finished all works and be off site by early summer. The work marks one of the biggest investments Crystal Peaks has seen for many years and reflects the centre’s continued faith in the future of the complex. “Crystal Peaks is a champion of environmental issues, especially in its approach to on site waste management, energy efficiency and carbon footprint reduction,” said Lee. “This important new structural work has been developed to aid us in our journey towards achieving net-zero carbon emissions and these new glazed units will certainly have a major and noticeable impact on our heating efficiency as well, improving comfort levels for visitors throughout the year. Sustainability is always a primary focus for us, with reduction, reuse, and recycling encouraged across the whole site. All the removed glass from this project will be going directly to recycling. “Over the last decade, despite having an increasing number of stores and visitors, we have made significant steps to reduce our carbon footprint, using the latest technology to ensure we are at the forefront of our industry.”

Sheffield cultural organisations are set to benefit from £250K in investment to support them in the early stages of set up – aiming to give them the best possible start. Sheffield City Council has made a renewed commitment to support cultural activity, organisations and opportunities that are as diverse as the city’s communities – and in 2024, are gearing up to support culture in new ways. As part of this commitment, the new Cultural Pipeline Fund has been designed to support a wide range of organisations including community arts projects, grass roots venues and music promoters, festivals, performing arts companies and visual arts organisations. The Council have announced they will be offering the new grants to help cover the cost of everything from mentoring and development work, to feasibility studies and fundraising advice – all to help get new cultural businesses and projects of the ground. Cllr Martin Smith, Chair of the Economic Development and Skills Committee, said: “The Cultural Pipeline Fund will boost the city’s cultural sector, encouraging diverse, inclusive, and innovative projects that are community-led or communityfocused. “There is also a focus on supporting children, young people and nurturing emerging talent, which is essential for the long-term success of our city.” Sheffield has a wealth of creative

talent demonstrated through both larger organisations and major events, as well as more local, neighbourhood activity. This initiative underpins the Council’s ambitions to help the city prosper by supporting start-ups and encouraging more businesses to open, particularly in the cultural sector, as they hope to support more people in Sheffield in using their talents as part of the growing city. Further to this, a newly commissioned Culture Strategy is being developed in collaboration with the sector and the Council is also supporting an innovative Creative Communities Grant Fund of £180k, which is being administered by Site Gallery, as well as a bid to Arts

Council England Place Partnerships. The Cultural Pipeline Fund is open to community interest companies, not-for-profits and charities working in any artform including literature or writing, music, film or screen-based media, visual arts, performance arts and cross artform projects. Grants offered are between £5,000 and maximum of £50,000. Funding can be used to support new cultural organisations and developing projects in 2024. The project is open for enquiries. Find out more, including whether your organisation is eligible for support here by visiting www. sheffield.gov.uk/your-city-council/cultural-pipeline-fund

USEFUL NUMBERS

News, Information and Advice

pdsa - “vet your clothes” lga urges support extension addiction expert raises alarm In an effort to raise awareness of shopping pre-loved, PDSA are calling on the local community to ‘vet your clothes’ – by having a purposeful clear out, donating items they no longer need to its charity outlets. Emma Phillpott, Retail Development Manager at PDSA said: “We know having a clear out can seem like a huge task, but we’re hoping the relaunch of Vet Your Clothes will be a positive reminder to people, that unused and unwanted clothing could be greatly appreciated elsewhere. We’re encouraging all retail lovers and avid shoppers to make some room in their wardrobes, and head down to their local PDSA charity shop to donate items they no longer need.” The Vet Your Clothes campaign is backed by PDSA supporters, and animal lovers, Fearne Cotton and Sarah Jayne Dunn, who have taken on the challenge and vetted their own clothes – both donating an item from their very own wardrobes. They are hoping this will encourage many to join in, making some closet space before adding any more fresh finds! The items up for grabs are a gorgeous, sparkly Olivia Rubin rainbow dress that had everyone talking when worn by Fearne, and almost immediately sold out. Now, there’s a unique opportunity to get your hands on this celeb favourite, pre-loved by Fearne, highly desired, and sold-out show stopper dress. There’s also a beautiful electric blue textured mini dress, resembling a heap of hydrangea flowers, worn by Sarah, and it’s an opportunity to get your

hands on a pre-loved by Sarah, unique, and again, no-longer available to purchase dress. Both of the items donated by both of the campaign ambassadors, Fearne and Sarah will go up for sale in an online auction event, hosted this weekend, on February 4, through this link: www.ebay.co.uk/str/ pdsacharityshop Not only is it a chance to own a show stopping sell-out dress, items sold for PDSA go a long way to support pets in need. So you can shop whilst knowing you are supporting a great cause – win-win! In the run up to the auction, PDSA is calling on the British public to also take on the challenge of ‘vetting their clothes’. Emma added: “By supporting your local charity shop, you are not only helping support a vital veterinary service, you’re often able to spend a lot less, as there’s many bargains to be found. There’s often an abundance of hidden gems that are looking for new homes too. With over 100 PDSA charity shops throughout the UK, there’s plenty of shops for all who wish to join in and vet their clothes.” • Just one item sold for £3 in a PDSA charity shop would pay for a small bottle of a local anaesthetic to provide essential pain relief to a much-loved pet during dental procedures and minor surgery. • An item sold for £5 would provide a poorly cat with anti-sickness to ease their symptoms. • And an item sold for £10 would pay for a heat pad that would help keep a pet warm and cosy following surgery.

Councils are urging the Government to extend one of its most essential schemes to help protect vulnerable households in the country. The Household Support Fund (HSF), which has provided £820 million in Government funding for local welfare support over the past year, is set to end on 31 March. The fund has been used to help millions of households facing hardship, who would otherwise have struggled to buy food, heat their home or go without other essentials. The Government has not confirmed if the HSF will be extended, leaving councils, their delivery partners and residents in limbo. Given record demand for this support, the LGA and councils across the country are calling for the fund to urgently be extended for at least a year, to prevent a cliff-edge in support for vulnerable people which cannot be filled from already overstretched council budgets. Ending the HSF on 31 March would also coincide with an end to the Government’s cost of living payments, which means low-income households would be doubly hit by a reduction in support. The LGA’s survey of its members found that: • More than 8 in 10 responding councils (84 per cent) said that financial hardship had increased in their area in the last 12 months. • Around three quarters of respondents (73 per cent) said that they expect financial hardship to increase in their area in the next 12 months, whilst just under a fifth of respondents (19 per cent) said they expect it to remain about the same. • Almost two thirds of respondents (62 per cent) said they could provide no additional discretionary funding to replace what is lost from the end of the Household Support Funds. The HSF was first introduced in October 2021 and allowed councils to significantly expand the help they could give to vulnerable residents during the pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis.

It has been subsequently extended several times, with the current tranche running from 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024. Since 2021, the HSF has boosted investment in local welfare support by more than £2 billion and now funds 62 per cent of local welfare provision, allowing councils to target support to the needs of their communities. Among the vital HSF-funded services and support which are set to be lost, or significantly reduced, if the fund ends include: • Cash grants or vouchers to help people in crisis with energy, food and other essentials. • Targeted support for people in receipt of council tax support, free school meals or pension credit, such as energy vouchers for pensioners living in fuel poverty. • Helping with significant or unexpected costs, such as furniture, white goods or replacing broken boilers. • Funding the voluntary sector to deliver support, like foodbanks, social supermarkets or schemes to deliver home energy efficiency improvements for lowincome households. • Providing vouchers to children eligible for free school meals to prevent holiday hunger. Cllr Pete Marland, Chair of the LGA’s Economy and Resources Board, said: “The Household Support Fund has provided an essential lifeline for our most vulnerable residents, but our survey shows this help is needed now more than ever. Now is not the time to scale back support. Many at-risk households continue to face considerable challenges in meeting essential living costs, with demand for support greater than when the fund was first introduced. However, without an urgent extension of Household Support Fund for at least a year, there is a risk of more households falling into financial crisis, homelessness and poverty.”

Nicholas Conn is a leading industry addiction expert who runs the UK’s largest addiction advisory service Rehubs, he is warning Brits of a “vape epidemic emerging and coming in fast” As the UK takes a bold step by imposing a ban on disposable vapes, a significant portion of the younger population finds itself grappling with the repercussions of this decision. While the ban aims to curb the rising tide of vape addiction, it also presents challenges and withdrawal symptoms for regular users. The Rise of the Black Market As seen already in cities like Budapest, the prohibition of vapes has inadvertently fueled the emergence of a black market. Individuals, desperate to cling to their habits, are turning to illegal channels to procure vaping products. This trend poses significant risks: • Unregulated Products: Illegally obtained vapes are often unregulated and may contain harmful substances, leading to severe health issues. • No Quality Control: The absence of quality standards can result in defective or dangerous products, heightening the risk of accidents and health complications. • Legal Consequences: Possession of illegal vapes can lead to legal repercussions. Addiction The Team at Rehubs spoke to 23 year old Jack Rohed, who says: I didn’t even think about becoming addicted to vapes, but now I find myself going through 2-3 a day. Some advice for addicted users:

• Seek Professional Help: Consulting a healthcare professional can provide personalized advice and access to smoking cessation programs tailored to individual needs. • Explore Alternatives: Consider nicotine replacement therapies (NRTs) like patches, gums, or lozenges to manage withdrawal symptoms effectively. • Embrace a Supportive Environment: Join support groups or online forums where experiences and coping strategies can be shared with others facing similar challenges. Adopting a Holistic Approach: • Mindfulness and Stress Management: Practices such as yoga, meditation, or even regular exercise can significantly alleviate stress and reduce the urge to vape. • Nutritional Focus: A well-balanced diet can aid the body’s recovery from nicotine addiction. Hydration, in particular, is key to eliminating toxins from the body. • Behavioral Adjustments: Identifying triggers and avoiding situations that prompt the urge to vape can be crucial. Instead, find healthier habits or hobbies to fill the void. It’s vital for the government to provide clear guidance and support, including accessible quitting programs. Nicholas says: “While the vape ban marks a significant shift in the UK’s public health policy, its success largely hinges on the collective effort of individuals, communities, and government bodies.”

children’s mental health week

For this year’s Children’s Mental Health Week Action for Children coach Ruth Duckworth is teaming up with 18 year old Esther Oladejo, one of the charity’s young ambassadors, to share their top tips for children and young people who want to look after their mental health and wellbeing. Esther’s top tips for children and young people: 1. Keep active! Even if it’s something as small as a 20-minute walk, it can help clear your mind and also gets you out of the house. 2. Take time for yourself. Use the time to do whatever you want whether that’s sleeping in or if a little older, watching the rest of your favourite series. 3. Allow yourself to feel your emotions instead of bottling them up. Our pent up emotions are what can overwhelm us the majority of the time but being able to let it out can really help. 4. Don’t be afraid to say no. A lot of people find it hard to say no to others which can make us feel worse. 5. Don’t feel bad for the things you enjoy! You should never feel bad for liking what you like or who you like. For parents, seeing your child struggle with their mental health

and wellbeing can be upsetting. Action for Children’s free online advice service Parent Talk has information to help you. Ruth’s top tips for parents on looking after their child’s mental health and wellbeing: • Make time to talk and listen: Children and young people don’t always want to talk. If they’re anxious, the best thing to do is to let them know you’re there if they need you. The more you talk and listen, the sooner your child will know they can come to you with problems. • Get them to spot negative thoughts: If they’re struggling with low self-esteem, see if they’re happy to tell you how things are going in their lives. Encourage them to start noticing negative thinking patterns and question them. • Help reduce stress: Encourage them to set realistic goals and expectations and see uncertainty as part of life. Notice what activities they find relaxing and use these to wind down. • Give them a sense of belonging: Celebrate their achievements, help them learn to take on responsibilities and face fears. You can also suggest they take note of how their social media usage affects their mood. Could they focus on sites that make them feel positive about themselves?

Sheffield’s Lunar New Year Extravaganza: A Fusion of Culture, Community, and Charity Sheffield will play host to its largest Lunar New Year celebration ever with a 5-day festival from Feb 9th - Tues 13th Feb Sheffield is set to embrace the

spirit of the Lunar New Year with a grand 5-day festival, starting from February 9th. This year’s celebration, welcoming the Year of the Dragon, promises an extraordinary array of events,

including the spectacular illumination of a 5-metre dragon at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, a diverse food festival at the Peace Gardens, an evening of cultural performances at the University of Sheffield’s Octagon Centre, and a special dinner at China Red. The festival is spearheaded by Jerry Cheung, MD at New Era Development Ltd, and assisted by Kelvin Quick of China Red, among others. The Sheffield Chinese Lunar New Year Festival is a testament to the city’s cultural richness and commitment to community while supporting the vital work of The Children’s Hospital Charity. Over the weekend (10th - 11th Feb), the Peace Gardens will transform into a cultural hub, hosting over 35 stalls showcasing exquisite cuisine, art, and more.

This free aspect of the event is a great opportunity to bring the family into town. Saturday will feature traders, stalls and a bar with a huge dragon as the centrepiece whilst Sunday will include a dragon parade, performances and speeches. Saturday night at the Octagon Centre will see a huge celebration of traditional dragon dancing, singing, and various performances, followed by a special dinner at China Red for festival sponsors and key partners. This event is ticketed with prices starting at £15. The Children’s Hospital Charity is set to celebrate the event by illuminating Sheffield Children’s Hospital with a stunning 5-metre dragon to usher in the Year of the Dragon on the hospital’s Outpatients Department,

overlooking Clarkson Street. Generously sponsored by local businesses, community groups, and individuals, the dragon symbolises the collective effort and spirit of the Sheffield community. Last year’s event raised over £13,000 through sponsorships, with opportunities still open to sponsor the dragon in 2024. Reflecting on the event, Jerry Cheung said, “This event is about culture sharing and bringing communities together. It’s also a chance to support a noble cause – raising funds for Sheffield Children’s.” Diane Jarvis of Sheffield BID, supporting the event, expressed excitement about the new outdoor elements, including a Dragon Parade on Sunday, 11 February. “This extension to the city centre

is a fantastic addition to Sheffield’s major events calendar,” she said. Councillor Martin Smith highlighted the festival’s significance in celebrating Chinese culture and its symbolism of good fortune, strength, and success. Martin McKervey, Chair of the Sheffield Property Association, also echoed these sentiments, recognizing the festival’s role in showcasing Sheffield’s cultural vibrancy and strategic development. A NIGHT TO FORGET FOR THE BLADES AN AFTERNOON TO FORGET FOR THE OWLS It was a disappointing night under the lights at Bramall Lane on Saturday. Deadline day signing Holgate made his full debut, whilst NorringtonDavies was handed a first Premier League start having built up his fitness from a long-term injury. Foderingham was restored in goal, with youngsters Brooks and Osula also recalled to the starting XI. There was also a welcome return to the matchday squad for Tom Davies. United started positively and on the front foot, with Brereton Diaz almost forcing an angled effort under the body

over Martinez, but that early optimism quickly evaporated, as Villa took the lead in slightly fortuitous circumstances. Watkins beat Foderingham to a through ball, his effort hit the post with Ahmedhodžić retreating, leaving MCGINN an empty net to tap home and on 16 minutes, WATKINS added a second, finishing a swift break with a low finish. Things went from bad to worse on 20 minutes as Watkins went from scorer to provider, with BAILEY firing home with an excellent finish. Souza cleared off the line to deny TIELEMANS as the half hour approached, but

WE NEED TO BUILD ON THAT SECOND HALF MOVING FORWARDS Rotherham United head coach Leam Richardson believes his side need to show the battling credentials that they displayed in the second half of their 2-0 defeat to Southampton on Saturday. The Millers were ultimately undone by two first half goals on the Saints’ first visit to AESSEAL New York Stadium, but competed well against a side flying high in the second tier following the restart. “Firstly, congratulations to Southampton. Like I said before the game, nothing happened that we didn’t expect. “I thought in the second half we were more competitive and more like us. The start of the game was disappointing - to concede a set play from three or four minutes in front of their fans and I think it took us 20-odd minutes to gather our thoughts and be competitive. “I think they are one of, if not, the best team in the league so you expect a healthy challenge but we want to be better ourselves. “Some things you can’t legislate for and they’re things you’ve got to learn from. Whether that is individually or collectively as a group. “Southampton have come in with a plethora of players, including internationals, but we’ve got to compete like we did in the second half for a full game.”

from the resulting corner, the former Leicester man fired in a fourth off the underside of the crossbar. Hamer replaced Osula at the break, but inside two minutes of the restart, the visitors added a fifth, with MORENO volleying into the net at the back post with Watkins again the provider. United made a double change with Robinson and Osborn introduced and Bogle was inches away from a goal with a dipping angled volley. Davies was given some minutes from the bench as Foderingham was smartly down to deny Diaby, whilst at the other end, only the brilliance

denied Ahmedhodžić and Robinson, after the latter had seen a header cleared off the line in the previous attack. Substitute Rogers should have scored on his Villa debut late on but blazed over from Cash’s pull back. United went until the end, with Archer seeing an effort blocked by Lenglet and Hamer denied by Martinez and in the first minute of added time it appeared that Souza had scored his first United goal, but ultimately after a lengthy wait he was harshly denied by VAR and that was the last action of note.

S&HFA TEAM UP WITH VEO TO OFFER LOCAL CLUBS DISCOUNT ON CAMERA EQUIPMENT Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA affiliated clubs, teams, coaches and members can now claim a £200 discount on the purchase of a Veo camera thanks to a new commercial partnership. Veo is the simple and portable sports camera. At Veo, their goal is to help every player and team take their game and sport up a level. They do it with a camera that can automatically record and live-stream sport and a state-of-the-art analysis platform, all powered by AI. The partnership will enable S&HFA to change more lives through football as we re-invest funds generated from commercial partnerships back into the grassroots game, allowing them to reach more people with grassroots football opportunities. The agreement also means Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA will have access to a Veo camera kit, complete with tripod and subscription, to capture footage from their County Cup finals as well as offering to clubs and teams throughout the season. Speaking about the two-year partnership, Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA General Manager Simon Frost said: “We’re delighted to be teaming up with Veo and look forward to a long and successful partnership with them. “By developing commercial partnerships such as this one, it means we can have a bigger impact in our County to inspire more people to get involved in the game while providing additional benefits for our members.”

Danny Röhl was understandably disappointed following the Owls’ 4-0 defeat to Huddersfield at the John Smith’s Stadium. Four second half strikes for the hosts sealed a convincing victory, leaving Wednesday dejected, but Rohl insists there are enough games left to mount a fight against the

drop. The manager said: “It’s hard to find the right words, but first, I have to take responsibility for the defeat. “It is not easy, this is football and I know it will be a challenge. “Today, we can be disappointed but on Monday I will find the right words and I will go again.

Ian Poveda joins Owls on loan McCann wants players to believe in themselves more

The Owls have signed exciting forward Ian Poveda on a loan deal for the remainder of season. The Colombian international joins from Championship club Leeds United. Poveda is a tricky winger on either flank who

Grant McCann has urged his players to back themselves more as they seek to find a consistent run of form. The Rovers boss wants to reassure the squad that he has full faith in their ability and for them to play their game safe in that knowledge. “We’ve got a really good honest group of players,” he said in the aftermath of the draw at Sutton United. “I said to them that I want them to trust themselves more. There’s some really good footballers in there. “Today there’s a lot of players that I’ve brought into the football club and the ones that have stayed are the ones I have a lot of trust and faith in. They have to understand that I’ve got that faith and trust in them. “They need to trust in themselves to go and perform and braver to take the ball and want the ball. Take someone on one-v-one, go and score. That’s the sort of way I want my team to be thinking. “I’m sure being on the run that we were on before this game that there’s a bit of tension at moments of the game. “But I’m pleased for the lads because they kept going, kept grinding, kept getting after the game. At 1-0 down I didn’t see anyone feeling sorry for themselves and we got our just rewards.” Joe Ironside netted an injury time penalty to earn

“They were very easy goals, three transition goals against us. This is not what we are doing, our defence was not good enough in this case. “This is football, you see how close this happens after an outstanding performance against Watford and one point, to a big, big defeat today. “I had the feeling at

half time that we were not sharp enough. Today, everyone can be disappointed and I apologise to our fans for the result. “Now it’s my job to go forward, we have 16 games to go, it’s not easy but we have to do our job.”

can also play his trade inside and strengthens Wednesday’s attacking options. The 23-year-old brings a rich grounding to S6, having been on the books of football giants Chelsea, Arsenal, Barcelona and Manchester City. Poveda moved to Leeds in January 2020, going on to make 25 appearances for the Elland Road side. He has also enjoyed temporary spells with Blackburn Rovers and Blackpool, posting a further 36 appearances

and chipping in with three goals. Eligible internationally for both England and Colombia, Poveda was capped from Under-15 level through to the Under-20s with the Three Lions before receiving a call-up to the full Colombian squad and has two senior caps to his name.

Rovers a share of the spoils at Sutton. McCann praised the striker for the manner in which he handled the physicality of the game and showed composure to net from the spot under tremendous pressure. “I think he’s getting back to form and I personally sense that in him,” McCann said. “I sat with Joe and said let’s get back to what you’re good at. What he’s good at is getting hold of the game, getting hold of people, being tough to play against. I think he’s shown that in the last couple of games - hence why he gets his just rewards at the end. “He missed his last one at Notts County so he showed good composure to place it down and put it away for us because it was an important penalty at that stage of the game.”
