WELCOME To the December issue of The Listing Our Christmas issue is my favourite of the whole year - and this year it’s a double whammy as it’s also our 100th issue! Who would have thought, back in 2005, that The Listing would still be going strong 100 issues later.... It is thanks to all of you, our readers, advertisers, organisations and community (and undoubtedly a supportive family...) that The Listing is what it is today so THANK YOU for your continued support. It is a pleasure to publish and serve our community and we plan to be around for at least a hundred issues more.... keep your eyes peeled for exciting new developments in the coming year. The December issue is jam-packed full of events and activites for the Christmas season. Our pick this month is the ice rink at the Old Bull, as part of the Christmas Fayre on Saturday 7th December. And of course, our annual favourite “Shop in Royston” feature. Like town centres up and down the country, our own faces challenges as the retail landscape adapts to online shopping and the convenience of one-stop-shop stores. However, if you value singularity and believe in local retail as part of our community, please choose to shop locally for at least some of your Christmas shopping - there are hidden gems to be found!
