We need some better public transportation. STA needs to handle moving people around. And how should they do that? Quit cutting out lines on the distant parts of Spokane. They end up picking random spots and cutting them out.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

STACEE POTTS

The Northwest is one of the most isolated places in the the U.S. People should just start befriending their neighbor, making real friends, not just, “Hey, how’s it going?” over the fence. What about the idea of having a high-five zone where people are required to give high-fives to all they pass? Can we have a hug street, too?

What’s that new development with the Inlander and Central Food? Kendall Yards? I would like to see more of that type of community. It makes me feel like I’m more of a part of a community. Seeing all of the families out on a street fair on the Fourth of July.

We need a grocery store downtown. Residential sustainability for downtown living. I talk about this subject so often. Why is it important to have a grocery store downtown? I’ve lived downtown for five years. If you want people to stay here and come here, you need that. The Ridpath Hotel — they could put the grocery store on the bottom level.

What is the purpose? Is it making us happier? Making us more beautiful? Improving the town? How about for improving the symphony? Everybody knows we have a great symphony. The only thing we need is people taking time out of their lives, and making their decision to have a special evening. Everybody needs to take time to make a quality-time decision.
