Meetings & Events at The Hotel Denver

Embrace elegance with a glimpse of the past During the early 1900’s, the train depot was the heartbeat of life in Glenwood Springs, bringing a life-blood of supplies and tourists to town. This downtown area was also a thriving red-light and saloon district. In fact, where The Hotel Denver now stands, four saloons, two rooming houses, a restaurant and grocery store once prospered. In 1914, Henry Bosco acquired several of the businesses along Seventh Street and created the Star Hotel, later renamed The Hotel Denver. Today, visitors continue to frequent historic Glenwood Springs. These days guests are treated to views of the Colorado River, an eclectic selection of great restaurants and the pleasure of staying at The Hotel Denver, one of Glenwood’s grandest hotels. Transformed into an elegant modern hotel, The Hotel Denver embodies a style reminiscent of the 1920’s. The “Plaza” area just off the lobby is a delightful place to relax and enjoy your morning coffee and plan your day’s adventures. Cozy quilts, reproduction and original antiques warm each guest room. Nestled in the heart of charming downtown and located on the Colorado River, you can enjoy a short stroll across the stunning pedestrian bridge to the Hot Springs Pool or visit area attractions, restaurants, shops, night spots and parks that are all within easy walking distance. At The Hotel Denver, we know it’s the delight of unexpected touches that sets us apart and the little things make the difference between the ordinary and the extraordinary. H
