Our Volunteers Invaluable Support The level of commitment and quality of service by this exceptional group of volunteers contribute significantly to our day-to-day operation. About our Volunteers Among our 200 plus volunteers there are retired and active students, teachers, principals, doctors, nurses, retail associates, managers, travel agents, small business owners, business associates and executives. These individuals come from all walks of life and range from 18-79 years of age. They all commit to a yearly training program in August and to working two or more shows each month throughout the season. Our volunteers are invaluable to our staff and provide excellent service to our patrons.
Volunteer of the Year Charlene Baron The Hanover Theatre’s 2012 Volunteer of the Year, Charlene Baron, has been volunteering since the 2008 inaugural season. She is a team leader as well as a member of the volunteer social committee. Over the last year, Charlene has made use of her photography background and computer skills to help advance the communication and scheduling of our volunteers. She has made a photo guide of all volunteers and staff in order to help newcomers get to know their co-workers. Charlene also helped transition the theatre from an Excel-based scheduling system to online scheduling software. Many of the volunteers needed help adjusting to the new system and Charlene was always there to lend a hand. She is a tremendous asset to the theatre and is always going above and beyond to help her peers. In addition, Charlene is always sure to have her camera handy to capture memorable photos for our annual volunteer calendar! She also started a Facebook page where volunteers can make plans to meet and mingle outside of the theatre! Thank you to Charlene for promoting communication, familiarity, technology, and capturing the wonderful moments we share all year long!
