There’s nothing quite like Fernie on a nice, sunny day. Annex Park *closed for construction May 1 – Oct 31, 2022 Located between the Elk River and the dike. this serene park is a great place to enjoy lunch in the grassy picnic area or watch the ducks float on the pond. James White Park This multi-use park can be found off Mt. Minton Street in Fernie’s airport subdivision James White Park is situated near the Elk River and hosts tennis courts, ball diamonds, horseshoe pits and a bocce ball court. It’s also home to the Lizard Range Disc Golf Course - A Fernie favorite pastime. Rotary Park Rotary Park has play structures, a huge grassy field, picnic areas and a gazebo located right off Highway 3 beside Park Place Lodge. Dogwood Park Along the Elk River between 1st Street and 4th Avenue, Dogwood Park is truly stunning. It features a non-motorized boat launch, picnic tables and incredible views of the river and Lizard Range. Ridgemont Park Located on Ridgemont Lane, this cute park features beautiful views, a big grassy field and a great playground. Maiden Lake Located near the Fernie Golf Course, Maiden Lake features a man- made lake ideal for paddling, skipping rocks or catching minnows. Great picnic areas and surrounding trails makes it a nice summer spot. Fernie Railyard Dog Park Located in the green space between 4th Avenue and 13th Street, just past the train tracks. This park features a large and small fenced area, and paved trails, perfect for you and your fourlegged friends to take a stroll and socialize. Skateboard & BMX Park This park is great for skateboarders and bikers alike and features cityscapes, a six- foot half pipe, eight- foot quarter pipe, rails, and a snake run with two bowls (The Death Skillet and The Wok). Located behind the Fernie Aquatic Center. Aquatic Center Grounds & Parks Located in the heart of Fernie, just a few blocks from Downtown on Pine Avenue the Aquatic Center grounds host many amenities to enjoy along with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Here you’ll find for public use a splash park, dirt jump and bike skills area, basketball court, outdoor exercise equipment, paved outdoor rink, beach volleyball courts, gazebo and more! Sparling East Park Located to the north across the bridge in the Parkland Terrace subdivision is Fernie’s newest playground featuring a zip-line and various play structures. The park’s natural setting and walking trails make it a great place for all ages.
