WHO’S OPENING AND WHERE At Home Furnishings (480-214-6390) has plans to expand its presence throughout the Valley area in AZ with locations in Peoria, Phoenix and Mesa. The company recently leased a 105,000 sq.ft. space formerly occupied by JC Penney in Mesa, AZ. The chain of home décor and furnishing stores currently operates locations throughout CA, CO, GA, IL, MI, MO, NC and TX. The concept is a new spinoff of Garden Ridge, a 65-unit chain operating throughout AL, AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MI, MO, MS NC, NE, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX and VA. Burlington Stores, Inc. (609-387-7800) is planning to open a 65,000 sq.ft. Burlington store at Truman’s Marketplace, a 554,000 sq.ft. redevelopment project situated on 72 acres at the intersection of Blue Ridge Boulevard and Interstate 49 in Grandview, MO during spring 2015. The company, offering family apparel, accessories and footwear, currently operates more than 520 locations throughout 44 states nationwide, as well as in Puerto Rico. Total Wine & More (855-330-6673) plans to open 13 stores during the remainder of the year. The company also recently opened a 29,000 sq.ft. new concept store along Route 4 West in River Edge, NJ. The store is double the size of traditional stores and offers a temperature-controlled wine cellar, wine tasting bar, education room and walk-in beer cooler. The company currently operates 104 locations throughout 16 states. Houlihan’s Restaurants, Inc. (913-9012500) is planning to open Devon Seafood Grill restaurants and Houlihan’s Restaurant and Bar locations in areas east of the Rocky Mountains during the coming 18 months.
