LETTER

When we began the 2018 issue of The Bridal Guide magazine, I was super excited to share all the fantastic progress that the wedding industry has made over the past year. Size inclusivity and couple diversity... just to name two. But as we put this issue to bed, there’s only two things on my mind. One is to thank you, my sweet, bride-to-be, for helping us celebrate a monumental milestone this year; our 25th anniversary issue that you hold in your delicate little hands. The second thing is to remind you to be true to yourself. That’s right, be yourself. That is the nugget of wisdom I’m imparting to you as you embark on your 2018 wedding planning. Just do YOU. Eff the rest. (You

know what I mean there, and I say it emphatically.) Take it from an old, experienced gal like myself. When planning a wedding it’s really easy to get caught in the cross-hairs of pleasing family or to become distracted with high profile (or even close friends) wedding themes. Your wedding is for you and the love of your life. Don’t lose sight of that. The best way to have the wedding of your dreams is to remain true to who you are. If you dream of wearing orange taffeta with matching crocs, then I’m here to tell you that you will slay that taffeta-croc ensemble. (Although, friends usually don’t let friends wear crocs.) But it’s your wedding, so be extra gosh dang it! As always, The Bridal Guide is here for you to lean on along the way. We research new trends and remind you of old ones. We extract sage advice, cull together informative tips and share real wedding inspiration from local brides. We also maintain relationships with many seriously stellar wedding professionals in order to be able to give you one-stop shopping for all your wedding vendor needs.

Enjoy your engagement, bride-to-be, it goes by fast. Share your planning with us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram and tell us your stories. After your big day, be sure to upload your wedding to www.thebridalguide.ca under Real Weddings so that you can inspire other brides-to-be with the details of your careful planning. You may even find your very own dream wedding day filling the Real Weddings section of our 2019 print issue. If you’re wearing taffeta and crocs, I may push you to the top of the list.

f you are searching in Niagara-on-the-Lake for a venue that boasts elegance, warmth and ethereal beauty, Two Sisters Vineyard is an option that stands out from the crowd. While also acting as the astounding backdrop to our cover shoot, this family-built winery provides not only some of the finest wines in Ontario, but is the perfect setting for your special day. With their dedicated and knowledgeable staff, Two Sisters Vineyard will ensure that your wedding is nothing short of spectacular.

Inside the Venue:

TWO SISTERS Vineyard

I had the pleasure of speaking to one of the two sisters, Angela Marotta, to learn more about the true passion put into this establishment. Looking at this stunning building, it is hard to believe that it took Angela and her sister, Melissa Marotta, over 10 years to make this dream come true. Influenced by their parents, who always made wine at home, both sisters grew up with the same vision to help people “experience the joy of celebration with wine and food”. After their father, Benny Marotta, came across this 76-acre property, Angela and Melissa tirelessly worked to build Two Sisters Vineyard into what it is today. Following the rule of “quality over quantity”, they offer a selection of luxury Bordeaux varietals such as their award-winning 2016 Riesling and their full-bodied 2013 Cabernet Franc, recommended by Angela herself. Though there are quite a few options to choose from for Niagara region wineries, one thing that definitely sets Two Sisters Vineyard apart is its inviting atmosphere. Their stunning restaurant, Kitchen76, is designed to ignite all five senses and create a feeling of comfort for each guest. Alongside their trusted event planning expertise, they offer an incredible selection of gourmet and authentic Italian dishes – take it from me, their lunch menu is every food lover’s dream! Inside their grand barrel room, there is an air of class and old-world elegance perfect for a small and intimate dinner. For a larger reception, the outdoor patio provides comfort, style and an incredible view of the Niagara sunset. Finally, walk a little ways through their luscious vineyard and catch a glimpse of their stunning pond. The extreme success and admiration for Two Sisters Vineyard is a true testament to Angela and Melissa’s extraordinary work ethic and passion for food and wine. Not only did it earn Kelly Ripa’s seal of approval, but also continues to offer some of the finest top tier wines in Ontario. From the spectacular location to the kind and enthusiastic service, this is the perfect spot for celebrating your love. No matter the theme or size, Two Sisters Vineyard would love to be part of your special day!

Our Story Back in the summer of 2010, Karla joined the company I work

But by 2013, we somehow found a way to re-connect, always run-

30 mins would go by chatting about our lives. Later in that year,

on her first day of employment! We eventually grew close, formed

a little clique with a few colleagues and partied every weekend

bet with the others during the trip, predicting that we would end

The Proposal

Wedding Date: March 25, 2017

I took to Karla’s fear of heights and got her to plan our air balloon ride to throw her off. She did the booking which I had deliberately planned for August 8 (8/08/2015).

Ceremony Location: Scottish Rite Club (Hamilton, ON)

The day had arrived, our sunset balloon ride awaiting us and a perfect day for a picnic. We jumped in the basket and up, up, up and away we went. Karla clutched to the basket for dear life at first but we soon adjusted and enjoyed floating around the sky - greeting people with waves and shouts. About 30 min before landing, I secretly set up the GoPro and started thinking about what to say and how to move forward. I turned to her and said, “I finally finished the song I wrote for you,” and played it on my phone. And by the end, that was my cue. I pulled out the ring and dropped to my knee.

Ontario wine country is best known for premium wines and the innovative wineries that produce them, but they also boast countless hidden locational gems that are off the beaten path. Things like bakeries, cafes, parks and landmarks that could add the magical charm you’re looking for on your wedding day. Check out winecountryontario.ca for an insiders list of places to visit. You can also check out Two Sisters Winery in Niagara on the Lake, London Born Wine Co. in Beamsville, Adamo Estate Winery in Orangeville, and Willow Springs Winery in Stouffville who are vendor partners with The Bridal Guide and host weddings. A winery wedding means rolling hills and a truly romantic, idyllic setting with lush vineyards and majestic views. Whether you hope for an intimate wedding or something grandiose, whether you prefer rustic spaces or contemporary or chic, an evening alfresco, or a tented affair, local wineries offer you their enchanting estates with breathtaking surrounds of our picturesque province. Once you’ve chosen your ideal winery venue, the hunt for the perfect wedding wine becomes a lot smaller. Sourcing your wine from the winery might also save you some money. There are plenty of grape varieties that work best in our climate and local growers have championed these grapes into world-class and award-winning wines. Shopping local doesn’t sacrifice quality for affordability. Local wineries also offer some versatility. A little sparkle for toasting and appetizers, a light, food-friendly white and red for the meal, and then moving on to the full-bodied heavies is practically a wedding law. Your heart may want a different wine with every course but your wallet may only agree to mixing it up when it comes to desert. If your guests are all savvy wine connoisseurs, keeping their glasses full with any local quality wine is a no-brainer. Wineries also know that you use different size glasses for different wines. Certain wines are designed to be enjoyed from specifically shaped glass. You’ll get the most out of your wines by trusting the professional serving staff to ensure you’re using the correct glassware to serve your guests. Enjoying the wine right from the winery means you also won’t run out. No trips to the LCBO for more, and nothing to return. It’s a win-win.

REAL WEDDINGS

KYLE & BRANDON Kyle & Brandon’s wedding was a true blending of two unique personalities & styles - Brandon’s downtown, city vibe and Kyle’s love of the outdoors & nature which both had to be incorporated into the design of their wedding day. From their unique brushed metal invitations, to the custom-made cement vessels that held ferns and leafy greens through-out the restaurant, our goal was to showcase both of their personalities at every touchpoint of the wedding. Incorporating the couple’s beloved dog Chloe was also important – from her presence on the wedding day (we had to sneak her into the venue!) to the whimsical cookie bar that were favors created in Chloe’s likeness for each guest to take home, the wedding was very much a celebration of not only the couple, but all that the couple holds dear – friends, family and pets!

REAL WEDDINGS

Marie & Philip June 10, 2017

56 - www.thebridalguide.ca

Philip and I met in January of 2011. I was working at The Body Shop at the time and Philip had come in two separate times to make a purchase, but he confessed later that it was really to talk to me. The second time he came in, he asked me out for coffee. Our first date was on Valentine’s Day that year, and we have been together ever since. We travelled to Maui, Hawaii in August of 2015 and that is where Philip proposed to me. It happened on the top of the (now dormant) volcano, Haleakala, at sunrise. I was completely surprised, which is how I think it should be, but so completely happy. I had no clue about all of the planning (and secrets) that had been going on behind the scenes!! Since I was starting school that September, we planned to get married once I graduated in 2017. One of the first decisions that we made was to hire a band for the wedding. We decided on Stereoflavour Entertainment, who Philip had found on Instagram, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. Fast forward to June 10, 2017, our wedding day. It was an amazingly gorgeous Saturday in the Distillery District and everything went off without a hitch. Arta Gallery was the perfect ceremony venue as it really gave us the intimate setting we were looking for and it was a beautiful backdrop for photos afterward. Archeo, where we held our reception, really delivered on the food

and service. The space has such great character and was fantastic for our small wedding of 85. The best part of the night was definitely the music! The band played such an amazing selection of music that had everyone dancing all night long and the day was so beautifully captured by Jess Shields Photography! www.thebridalguide.ca - 57

BOXFIT

your way to that

Backless Gown

You can wear that backless or halter dream gown, and don’t let anyone tell you any different. Be that princess with a strong, sexy shape and we have two words to help you get it done. Boxfit training. Yeah, we know, it sounds like exercise and work, but you only need about six months before the wedding to sculpt your back and arms into the fierce warrior you have hidden. Boxfit combines strength, cardio and real boxing techniques that offer an intense, raw workout that forces you to channel energy into power. It’s skill mixed with endurance, speed and strength, but it’s also cathartic in that it allows you to release your wedding planning stress. Boxfit is even better than a rage room as it allows you a safe place to blow off some steam and gives you a raw workout at the same time. Not only is hitting something a healthy and productive way to help you let go of tension, the endorphin rush is likely to make you happier. Whatever your size, shape or fitness level, you will you should aim to attend classes at least twice a week for six months, or three times a week for results in three months.

60 - www.thebridalguide.ca

Attending a real boxing gym for your boxfit classes is essential. Boxfit is about discipline, and not only will you increase your body strength, but also your strength of mind. You’ll be physically healthier as well as mentally and emotionally fit. Training boosts your self confidence. It stimulates self-belief and you’ll feel like there’s nothing you can’t do. Most modern health clubs are more social than they are committed to one area of practice. A traditional gym commands respect. You can almost smell the exposed brick, sweat-soaked wood and dusty chalk. A dedicated boxing gym is the focus you need to get the job done. Studio K-O in Toronto or Vaughan Mills is a great place to start. They’re seasoned professionals under the direction of a real fighter and boxing coach. Studio K-O is the real deal and also just happens to be one of our vendor partners. So, take a deep breath and prepare to wrap your knuckles. Invest in the proper gloves, headgear and a good pair of shin supports. It’s important to ease into your training and remember to protect your body and keep your safety paramount. You needn’t worry your pretty little head about swollen eyes or gashed lips either. You can train with the same intensity and purpose of a competitive boxer and remain as gloriously beautiful as the day you first walked in.

We use the term emergency loosely here. More like a survival kit. And we all expect your big day will go off without a hitch, however, it’s best to be prepared for your physical, mental and emotional well-being just in case. We’ve all seen that viral video of the young toddler doing dirty on the bride’s gown, haven’t we? E-m-e-r-g-e-n-c-y. Packing an easy-to-stash tote bag with some essential items will keep you and your bridal party calm in the event of any kind of unforeseen wedding disasters.

THE LIST BREATH MINTS. Jitters give you a dry mouth, and a dry mouth gives you that I-don’t-want-to-kiss-you breath. Newsflash, there is a lot of kissing in your immediate future.

CASH. For late night impromptu vending machine purchases.

TWEEZERS. From clumped lashes, stray hairs and threads to absurd and untimely slivers. Tweezers are a brides version of duct tape. Throw them into a mini sewing kit and bring that too.

PHONE CHARGERS. And throw in an extension cord while you’re at it. You’ll be sitting in the same chair in a prep room for several eternities.

BLOTTING PAPERS. There’s going to be sweating. Lots and lots of sweating. EXTRA UNDERPANTS. You know what those are for. WATER. In a bottle for necessary hydration. Throw in some straws so you don’t mess with your lipstick. 74 - www.thebridalguide.ca

TAMPONS/PADS. Someone is going to need one.

CLEAR POLISH. For smoothing out unexpected chips or for locking rips, runs and tears in place. You can also bring a bottle of the colour you’re wearing and also throw in a nail file for good measure. If you have an unusual amount of ribbons at your wedding, consider packing a small lighter to seal any fraying edges.

A Behind the Scenes Look at The Bridal Guide’s 25th Anniversary Cover Shoot

82 - www.thebridalguide.ca

F

rom birthdays to anniversaries, the 25th year always calls for a celebration, and our team at The Bridal Guide made no exception to that rule. We gathered a team of our incredibly talented ven-

dors to come together and create our ideal cover, and in honour of The Bridal Guide’s 25th Anniversary, we’d like our readers to get the chance to experience exactly what went into our milestone cover shoot. Making sure everything ran smoothly was Tony Milana, the general manager of Two Sisters Vineyard, whose professionalism and enthusiastic attitude made this shoot a blast. Located in the stunning Niagara-on-the-Lake, Two Sisters Vineyard was the perfect backdrop for our shoot thanks to their beautiful interior and stunning vineyard. Upon entering the elegant barrel room, you could really see the talent and dedication from our fantastic floral and decor team. Beata Kaas, who is also an award winning florist and owner of Kaas Floral Design, went the extra mile to have special flowers imported from Hawaii, courtesy of Green Point Nurseries Inc. Using old-world décor pieces to compliment the rustic charm of the barrel room, her artistic vision was nothing short of spectacular. Matthew and Catherine Cook, owners of Matilyn, went above and beyond with their detailed arrangement, which included stunning décor ornaments and personalized stationary pieces. After planning weeks in advance to choose the perfect items for this shoot, it was truly amazing to see their artistic vision come to life.

www.thebridalguide.ca - 83

Upstairs we had Lora and Keila from Scruples Salon and Spa, going above and beyond with their work. Providing two elegant and stunning looks, it is easy to see why their coveted salons in Woodbridge and Pickering are always high in-demand. Throughout the glam process, our gorgeous model, Tara Elizabeth was an immaculate professional and not to mention drop dead gorgeous! Another integral individual to the beauty squad was Trula Pissas, owner of Montana the Art of Makeup and Hair. With over 30 years experience in bridal makeup and hair, she made our model look radiant as ever! Going for a lighter first look, she noted that “the colour blush is in for 2018”. She then transitioned to a darker second look, picking charcoal grey and deep red hues as “colours that would compliment the model’s dark hair and eyes”. Everyone was in complete awe of the dresses chosen for the shoot, which were provided by Saratina Bridal Boutique in Oakville. Both owners, Sara and Tina, handpicked the gowns from their extraordinary collection based on our theme, and the entire team agrees that they did not disappoint. We also had the lovely Finch Centre Jewellers providing some outstanding jewellery pieces. Carrying an astonishing collection of multi-luxury brand watches and fine jewellery, manager of the Woodbridge location, Cinzia Peca, and her associate Amanda Sesito selected some incredible accessories for this shoot. They really brought on the “bling”! Brett Storm, owner of Bright Sky Weddings and team member Julia were continuously working to get the perfect footage behind the scenes. It’s no wonder that Brett is an award-winning videographer, as he truly loves to discover and capture unforgettable memories for brides and grooms everywhere. David and Marianne Lai, owners of Visions by David, were the final piece of the puzzle behind this enchanting cover shoot. David, an award winning International photographer known for his creativity and his destination wedding photography, was tirelessly working with his trusty family-led team. He always ended shooting a set of photos with the line “okay, and now a fun one!” as he is committed to making wedding photography both artistic and fun! It was such an honour to have all these remarkably talented individuals as a part of our 25th Anniversary cover shoot. It is thanks to our preferred vendors and of course all of the thousands of brides that have enabled us to reach such an incredible milestone, and for that we are grateful.

Stunning Bridesmaid

Dress Colours Colour sets a mood, it influences behaviour and emotions in ways that are not always obvious. There’s an entire field of science dedicated to the psychology of colour so don’t feel bad if you haven’t been able to settle on one to outfit your bride tribe on your big day. There is a lot to consider and it isn’t a decision that you should make lightly—or alone. Wedding trends have become less traditional in recent years and brides are opting to let bridesmaids choose their own colours and dresses providing they complement the wedding colour scheme and are relatively in fashion. Some brides choose to implement one rule that ties the dresses together. For example, the same neckline, hem length, fabric, or shades of the same colour. While some brides control only the shoes and flowers to tie them together. If you want to be involved in the dress decision for your maids but don’t even know where to begin, let us help you sort through all the styles, fabric choices and designs and bring you back to the basics. Start with the colour you love (could be a shade, hue, or tint of that colour) and see if that works. If you don’t have a favourite colour or a preference, then there are a few foolproof ways to choose. One of the simplest is to play off your colour schemes or the colour scheme of the venue or season. For example, if you’re planning a winter wonderland wedding with white and silver accents, con-

96 - www.thebridalguide.ca

sider a deep or vintage red, a rich lavender, or a show-stopping gold for the dress colour. If you’re having an outdoor bohemian inspired wedding, consider light and airy muted pastels or subtle florals with shades of lilac, blue and pink. Another consideration for choosing colour is to eliminate anything that would detract from your bridesmaids confidence and energy, which will also affect the integrity of your wedding photographs. What complexions and hair colours are you working with? Are your girls all warms? Or a mix of warm and cool. Enlist the help of your bride tribe and find out which colours they detest. Once you’ve ruled out the no-go colours, take a look at current trends. For 2018, we’re looking at dusty rose and green making a huge comeback into wedding palettes everywhere. You’ll also see more lavender, lilac, dusty blue, deep reds, black, whites, golds, all shades of blue, peach (yes, really) and fantastic vintage reds. If you’re still are on the fence about what to choose, here’s a shortlist of five of our favourite all-time bridesmaids dress colours. Aquamarine. Part of the blue-green family, but not teal or turquoise. Aquamarine is a soft, delicate hint of colour that offers hundreds of shades in its palette.

If you’re entertaining a BOHO, beach or outdoor wedding, the barefoot sandal is the way to go. Decorative, lacey chains that connect your ankles to your toes can be encrusted with pearl beads, scores of sparkling gems or floral appliqués that finish your look with feminine charm. If you love this look and don’t want to be barefoot, pair with a classic plain heel for a powerfully glamorous statement.

Your bridal Jewellery is a very important part of your appearance, even if you’ve decided to go without. (The absence of it is the look.) This is your day, you are the bride. Whatever you choose, as long as you’re happy and feel like the special princess you are, then you’ve made the right decision.

While you’re at it, forget headbands, combs, clips and tiaras and consider the elegance of hair Jewellery. It’s exactly as it sounds, a necklace for your hair. (A hairlace?) Bedazzle your braids with vintage brooches or weave a glam crystal necklace into place. Re-purpose that steampunk necklace into a messy bun wrap. How about a gold chain choker topknot? The possibilities for incorporating Jewellery into your wedding day hairdo are as endless as the budget you wish you had.

If you’re worried that your faux jewels will look tacky and fake in pictures, do a pre-emptive photo shoot with all the lighting of the day and strut those fabulous fakes around. Give yourself plenty of time to work with your hairdresser and find the right pieces that will compliment you and your style. Be sure to take a look in Grandma’s Jewellery box for family heirlooms or a magnificent hidden treasure that’s been hiding out for years just waiting to bust out and be the centre of attention at your wedding. There are plenty of shops, flea markets, and local artists that will also work with you to see your wedding day jewel dreams through to fruition. Jewellery can be a weakness for many brides, so remember to keep your budget top of mind as your spending can quickly get out of hand. www.thebridalguide.ca - 105

continued from page 75 PAIN RELIEF/MEDICINE. Acetaminophen, ibuprofen, or naproxen. Your over-the-counter pain reliever of choice for headaches, aches and pains. Also throw in some antacids, antiseptic spray and allergy medicine. Heck, might as well just pack a mini first aid kit. DENTAL FLOSS/TOOTHPICKS. I think this is self-explanatory. EYE DROPS. Keep that moisture in your eye sockets where it belongs. If you wear contacts, bring some extra solution along with a pair of glasses in their case. SNACKS. Granola bars, nut mix, crackers, muffins, veggies. Choose snacks that provide protein and carbs so you don’t pass out from hunger. SUPER GLUE. It’s all fun and games until the heel comes off your shoe. Or the beads off your jewellery, or the comb from your headpiece. You get the idea. FLAT COMFORTABLE SHOES. In case you forgot the bandaids and super glue. PEN/PAPER/BLANK CARDS. You may want to write your groom a note. Or remind yourself to do something later. It’s a busy day, take notes. Better yet, have someone take them for you. VENDOR LIST. This may seem obvious, but you should have a list of their names and 24/7 contact numbers on hand. SUNSCREEN. Or sunblock depending on your skin tone. Also consider bug spray depending on your venue, season and climate.

Any optional items may be included that are specific to you and/or your wedding party and guests. Nobody knows the specific or irrational demands of their family better than the bride, herself. Be prepared, be the bride, and be a wedding hero.

MAKE THE AISLE YOUR RUNWAY With the Hottest 2018 Wedding Dress Trends

144 - www.thebridalguide.ca

A TOUCH OF MONOCHROME For those brides-to-be who are looking to achieve a more edgy look while walking down the aisle, black accents are the way to go. Hot off the runways from Milan and Paris, black detailing and statement pieces give dresses a chic and trendy design. From embroidery borders to satin waist-hugging ribbons, there are endless possibilities to incorporate this high-end look for your upcoming nuptials.

STAR OF A FAIRYTALE After a year of sleek straight cuts, the ball gown is making a comeback! Fit and flare dresses have been at the top of designers’ lists for 2018. Not only is it an incredibly flattering shape, but also there are a variety of detail options to choose from. Satin and lace pieces with a fitted waistline are perfect for an old-time vintage look. However, if you are more of a modern gal, try looking for something with a tulle skirt to emphasize the dramatic flare of the dress. So go ahead, live out your childhood fantasy and be your own princess!

SHOW OFF THOSE SHOULDERS High-neck and halter dresses become all the rage in the past year, but there is a new neckline that is making waves within the bridal industry. Off-the-shoulder wedding gowns have made their mark, and it is not hard to see why. Whether you want a sweetheart neckline, a plunging cut, or just a simple fit with a straight cut design, off-the-shoulder dresses cover all varieties of bridal style. Showing off a little peak of skin, this design exudes elegance while still giving a chic look.

BE YOUR OWN SOMETHING BLUE The traditional white dress is not for everyone, and because of that we have seen a wide array of hues ranging from ivory to blush. However, the newest trend in coloured wedding dresses is not only fashionably forward but also functional for the soon-to-be bride! Pale blue designs are popping up all over the place, and provide a unique yet elegant alternative to the classic white wedding dress. While still falling under the pastel category, lighter shades of blue are perfect for brides that want to switch it up with their fashion choices. Plain or patterned, the decision is up to you! For a glamorous touch, go for a dress with an added top layer of lace for a beautiful contrast.

NO DRESS? NO PROBLEM! Dresses are not every bride’s go-to, and if you are someone who agrees with that, then a jumpsuit might be the way to go! Already a major staple in the fashion world, jumpsuits have made an entry into the bridal industry and we couldn’t be happier. With sleek and fitted cuts, these contemporary one-piece styles are perfect for brides looking to go bold and sophisticated. If you really want to make some heads turn, keep an eye out for pieces with a bit of embellishment and cutouts.

REAL WEDDINGS

Glenn + Jesse The two first met, digitally, while temporarily in Madrid. Glenn was guest lecturing at a Spanish university and Jesse was on a photoshoot for his fashion company. The two logged into their OkCupid accounts, which showed them both in the Madrid network and started a conversation. After two months of message exchanges, they decided to meet for a week long first date in Vancouver where Glenn was giving some lectures. Since that first week, they have fallen so deeply in love. They have mastered the layout of just about every train station and airport in America, and a good number abroad, splitting their time between New York and Cambridge with regular seasonal jaunts to Miami and Toronto. Both Jesse and Glenn have a passion for travel and adventure, which is a fixture of their relationship, and plan to finish their world continent travels together after the wedding.

THE PROPOSAL On October 3rd, 2015, Glenn crafted the perfect surprise for Jesse. He lured Jesse to a beautiful rooftop looking over a verdant Central Park with the promise of showing Glenn’s parents and brother (visiting NYC) the gorgeous views from their friend Frank’s apartment. Indeed, his mother wondered why that morning Glenn was so insistent that she speed up her shopping in SOHO (she is never one to cut shopping short). When they arrived on the terrace, three of their friends were waiting -one of them an opera sensation who serenaded them with “I’ve Never Been in Love Before” from Guys and Dolls (well they are gay after all!!!) Glenn got down on one knee and asked Jesse to marry him and make him the happiest man in the world. Jesse emphatically said yes!

154 - www.thebridalguide.ca

Over the course of the past year and half, Jesse and Glenn have planned this wedding with those closest to them. As with most LGBTQ weddings, they are thrilled to choose which traditions they want to roll into their day to reflect them. Glenn has chosen to include various traditional Jewish elements and Jesse has chosen to include a Wish Tree by Yoko Ono. Music selections will reflect their love of jazz and musicals with a nod to classic and modern musicals. They are incredibly excited to be married at Casa Loma and celebrate their love in such a bizarrely wonderful landmark steeped in history and gay culture.
