Jon Kellum of Palm Beach County APA League is the lucky winner. Jon’s been playing pool competitively since 1992 and was speechless when he was handed the keys to the truck. “Unbelievable. This is phenomenal,” was Jon’s reaction to winning, along with “Thank you Mueller’s!” Mueller Recreational Products currently sponsors 277 individual pool leagues in 45 states, providing prizes and awards as well as other support materials. Mueller Recreational Products started their league sponsorship in 2000, resulting in the largest private sponsorship of amateur pool leagues in the nation. To be eligible for the Big Damn Prize Giveaway, sponsored pool league members were required to show up on league night, play pool and have fun! From 9/15/02 to 9/15/03, 1508 winners were drawn, each receiving prizes and having their names put into the grand prize drawing for the truck. The truck is the largest prize to be awarded to an amateur pool player. BCA Board of Directors Seeking Nominations Five positions to be filled in March 2004 From: Amy Long, Director of Marketing & Business Development

Colorado Springs, CO - The Billiard Congress of America (BCA) Nominating Committee is seeking nominations to fill five BCA Board of Director positions that will begin in March 31, 2004. Each of the four open Voting positions has a three-year term, and the one open Retail position has a two-year term. The committee is chaired by Michael Brownstein (Recreation World), and also includes Henry Hayes, Jr. (Iwan Simonis), Martyne Bachmen (Chalkers.com) and John Stransky (Brunswick Billiards). Duties of BCA board members include attending board meetings 4-6 times per year, serving on BCA committees, setting organization strategies and representing their respective membership category. Participation has a far-reaching effect concerning the future of billiards in North America and throughout the world. Details on board member duties are available upon request from the BCA National Office (719.264.8300) or on the BCA website (www.bca-pool.com) in the “About Us” section on the “Staff & Board” page. BCA members may nominate candidates from within their membership category only. Each candidate must be a member in good standing with the BCA at the time of nomination and through the election. Persons wishing to submit a name for consideration by the Nominating Committee should submit the individual’s name, company affiliation, contact information and a brief description of the person’s credentials and qualifications. An individual may nominate himself or herself. Written nominations must be provided to the BCA National Office or to any committee member no later than Friday, February 13, 2004. All nominees will receive written confirmation of their nomination. Ballots will be mailed to BCA business members no later than Thursday, March 11, 2004, as required by the BCA Bylaws. Ballots must be returned to the BCA National Office in Colorado Springs, CO, by Thursday, March 25, 2004. Ballots may also be hand carried and cast at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at the BCA General Membership Meeting at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. Elected board members will be announced at the General Membership Meeting, and the new Board of Directors will vote on officers for 20042005 immediately following the General Membership Meeting.
