MISSION STATEMENT

The Baldwin School, an independent college preparatory school, develops talented girls into confident young women with vision, global understanding and the competency to make significant and enduring contributions to the world. The School nurtures our students’ passion for intellectual rigor in academics, creativity in the arts and competition in athletics, forming women capable of leading their generation while living balanced lives.

A message from the HEAD of SCHOOL

Dear Baldwin community,

I’m excited to share our 2022-23 State of the School report, to provide updates from campus as well as information about our enrollment, fundraising, financial operations and more. It is just a snapshot of how we continue to ensure that The Baldwin School is leading the way in girls’ education.

Thanks to the tremendous support from thousands of alumnae, parents and friends, The Future is Baldwin campaign surpassed its $25 million goal and raised over $32 million for Baldwin! The campaign was record setting in every way with over 2,260 donors participating by making a gift, of whom 495 donated to Baldwin for the very first time. This campaign also celebrated 39 gifts of $100,000 or more, with six leadership donations of over $1 million. You’ll read and learn more about this historic campaign in the pages ahead.

While just at our midway point for the 2022-23 school year, we have already seen many standout moments like our lively Homecoming celebration, the always-fun Halloween parade, our beloved Thanksgiving assembly, festive winter assemblies and other grade-specific special events. Our Bears have taken to the stage for multiple musical and dramatic performances and have commanded the fields and courts in athletic competitions. We look forward to all the traditions and celebrations the spring holds, including our Parents’ Association Community Dinner and Auction – the School’s largest annual parent-led fundraiser and community-building event.

Our students and faculty continue to reflect the best of Baldwin, in and out of class, even as Baldwin’s parents, alumnae and wider community generously support all that we do. Thank you for such unwavering commitment to our mission and our girls. I look forward to seeing all we accomplish together during the rest of the school year. Go Bears!

CAMPAIGN WRAP-UP

The Future is Baldwin comprehensive campaign focused on raising additional financial support for our greatest asset: Baldwin’s extraordinary educators and talented girls. In an ever-changing and unpredictable world, we envisioned a campaign geared to what girls need most to prepare for any future they might imagine. The five campaign pillars were designed to advance Baldwin’s groundbreaking programs and curricula and to ensure our facilities keep pace with the spirit of innovation that thrives throughout campus.

Thanks to the generous support of alumnae, parents and friends, The Future is Baldwin surpassed its $25M goal and raised over $32M - by far the most successful campaign in the School’s history. Throughout, so many stepped forward and turned their Baldwin pride into tangible commitments that have placed Baldwin in the strongest position it has ever been.
