Practical development solutions for today’s world of work

Practical development solutions for today’s world of work
Learning trends have changed. Forward-thinking organisations are increasingly looking for more innovative and flexible learning options that can be blended with inhouse development. The ability to learn and develop at pace is the most essential skill needed to meet workplace demands both now and in the future. This, combined with unprecedented workplace changes in recent years, means that virtual alternatives to traditional face-to-face learning are needed now more than ever.
Here at The Art of Work, we always strive to meet the needs of the current and future world of work. We’re known for developing powerful solutions to meet those needs, developed in partnership with our clients; but sometimes you just need to find proven high quality solutions to respond quickly to your learning needs. In today’s time-pressured world, with the added challenge of the sudden increase in hybrid working, it’s often hard to lay your hands on exactly what you need, when you need it. So we’ve created a fresh directory of ready-to-run skill shots and behaviour boosters that can be delivered across a range of virtual platforms and in-person by our expert and diverse delivery team - tailored for your context and challenges but ready when you are to engage, support and challenge your learners.
Our new Core Offer Directory covers a wide range of topics for all colleagues, as well as some specifically for new or more experienced managers. Each reflects our current workplace and provides support to navigate it successfully. We allow for neuro-diversity and ensure anyone attending our sessions feels safe and included. Using a range of online platforms, including Zoom, Teams and Adobe Connect, they provide the ultimate flexible development option and can be:
▪ Standalone or paired development boosters
▪ Used to create focus and energy around a particular topic (such as performance reviews)
▪ Bolted together to create specific programmes, for example, to support new managers
▪ Used to support on-the-job development programmes and reflect the 70-20-10 approach
▪ Tailored to match your current context or specific learning needs
▪ Delivered in-person if required but as a block of topics and on special request
Comprised of skill shots and behaviour boosters, each is supported by a mix of pre and post digital e-workouts or a digital memory card to help embed the learning and provide onward development ideas and resources. For those topics where we feel skills practice is helpful, these are shown as paired sessions. Learning links are provided for other connected topics, which may be of interest to you.
These sessions are much more than a webinar or enhanced video call. Using the full range of technology, and supported by our expert production team, these interactive and professional online sessions are designed to mirror the learning environment experienced through in-person development.
All of our skill shots and behaviour boosters are designed and delivered by our highly trained and experienced virtual practitioner team, and our proven portfolio of topics has now been rolled out in a wide range of organisations to meet the increasing need for development for those working flexibly or permanently from home.
To make it easier to navigate our offering, we have grouped the topics into clusters, based around helpful categories - some aimed at managers and others relevant for all employees. So, whether you’re looking to improve leadership capability, support personal development, or provide timely support for an in-house initiative, this is your first port of call. If you’re looking for specific topics, you might find it easier to take a look at our alphabetised index at the end of the Directory.
