TERMS & CONDITIONS 1. Booking Procedure: • • • •

A Provisional Booking of one date can be held for up to 14 days, after which time it is at the hotel’s discretion to release the date. A non-refundable deposit of €2,000 is required to secure all bookings. A subsequent second stage payment of €3,000 to be paid in full 3 months prior to your Wedding Day. Notwithstanding anything said or written or deposit paid, the booking shall not be deemed to have been accepted by the hotel unless and until a formal letter of confirmation is issued to the concerned parties

2. Cancellations: • Should the event be cancelled by the Hotel, cancellation will be given in writing to the Client no less than 6 months prior to the event. The • • • •

Hotel reserves the right to cancel an event in the following cases: The Hotel believes the booking might prejudice the reputation of the hotel Should guests attending the event behave in any way considered to be detrimental, offensive or contrary to normal expected standard of behaviour. Any falsification of information will render contract null and void The Hotel decides to alter its appearance in any way including new development, future planning, construction or maintenance/repairs in unforeseen circumstances.

In the unfortunate event of a cancellation by the client, the Hotel reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee. The percentage charged will apply to the estimated total account for the event, including accommodation, based on the numbers originally booked; • If cancelled within 36 – 16 Weeks of Wedding Date – 25% of estimated services booked will be charged for. • If cancelled within 16 – 8 Weeks of Wedding Date – 50% of estimated services booked will be charged for. • If cancelled within 8 weeks of Wedding Date – 75% of estimated services booked will be charged for. Should you be forced to postpone your wedding, the original deposit paid may be transferred to a date booked within six months of the original date. The Hotel will not be held liable for any failure or delay to provide facilities, services, food or beverages as a result of events or matters outside its control. Hotel facilities may change or alter at proprietor’s discretion.


3. Food & Beverage: Menu selections must be made six weeks prior to your wedding date. No Food or Beverage items will be permitted to be brought into the hotel without the special permission of the hotel and the hotel reserves the right to make a charge for the service of same (exception of Special Occasion Cakes). Please note that the menu prices/charges for your wedding day are the prices applicable to the actual year your wedding reception takes place.

3a. Corkage : The hotel offers the service of corkage, please speak to your coordinator if you require this service.

4. Numbers Policy: For all Ballroom weddings held at the Landmark Hotel the minimum number of guests for dinner is 150. Where the minimum number is not met a surcharge will apply. A guaranteed attendance must be provided to your Wedding Coordinator no later than 72 hours prior to your wedding. This is the minimum number of guests you will be charged for on the day. (An approximate number of guests must be given with initial enquiry.)

5. Accommodation: The Bride and Groom can book rooms at our Special Wedding Rate as agreed in your package. Of course we will do everything possible to assist you with any additional rooms required. If these rooms are not confirmed by deposit they will automatically be released one month prior to the date of your Wedding.

6. After the wedding: The function room for the wedding will close at 2.30am. The Residents Bar is strictly for Hotel Residence only and will run no later than 4am.

7. Entertainment: The Hotel does not accept responsibility for any Entertainment booked independently. The Landmark Hotel shall not be liable or responsible for the performance, or for checking or reporting on the performance, of any person not engaged by it. All information provided on our Wedding Service Providers list must not be considered a recommendation. All entertainment including Bands, D.J’s, and Artists etc must provide their own equipment & accept full responsibility and all risks associated with same.


8. Storage/Personal Property/Damages: The hotel will try wherever possible to assist guests with the storage of equipment, personal property, wedding cakes, etc. but will not accept liability for any loss or damage. We advise all Wedding Couples to arrange adequate insurance. Any damages caused by the client or their guests to furniture, fixtures/fittings during the event will be the responsibility of the client and as such they will be liable to pay for the full cost of replacement and/or repair.

9. The Contract: The Contract is personal to the Client and the Services and all or other communications shall be for the benefit of the Client only and shall not be passed to any other person without the consent of the Landmark Hotel. The Client shall not assign or transfer or purport to assign or transfer to any other person in contract, in tort or otherwise the Contract or the benefit thereof, or the benefit of any condition, warranty or guarantee or other term or condition (express or implied) forming part thereof. On receiving your contract it must be signed by both parties and returned to the Wedding Coordinator within one month. If the contract is not returned within one month the date will be released. Please see Booking Procedure.

10. Confidentiality: This agreement is personal to you and the Hotel only and the Terms Agreed are private and confidential to both parties and must not be discussed on any other forum, online/internet or to third parties, save the parties to this agreement.

11. Payment : All accounts must be settled prior to departure from the hotel by cash, laser or Bank Draft only. Credit card payments are accepted only when verified by signature or pin code entry. The Client shall not set off any amount owing at any time by the Client to The Landmark Hotel under the contract. 12. Price Variations: In the event of circumstances beyond the Hotel’s control (e.g. increases in the standard rates of VAT, wines, menus, labour costs or unforeseen circumstances) the hotel reserves the right to vary the prices quoted to an extent which reflects such circumstances.

13. Finalisation Date: All details must be finalised one month before your wedding date. This includes menu choices, wine choices, all ceremony details, photography, DJ, rooms in the hotel, etc. The only outstanding item will be your final numbers for the wedding, which as already stated will be required 72 hours prior to the banquet.
