Lilac Festival Torchlight Parade The Lilac Festival is more than a parade. It is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization devoted to honoring our military heroes, nurturing our local youth, and promoting Spokane for over 70 years. The festival culminates in the Torchlight Parade. This year’s president, Michael Waldrip, has named the theme “I Love A Parade.” Parade applications are available for the following categories: Antique Cars; Band Drill Units; Commercial Floats; Equestrian; General Floats; Military; Specialty Units; VIP Cars; & Vendors. The Parade will take place Saturday, May 16th, 7:30pm. The course begins at the Opera House, winds its way through downtown, ending at City Hall.
